Could a Honda Element escape from a police interceptor sedan on the NJ Turnpike on a 20 mph roll?

I know that off the line the cop car could probably catch up with my Honda, but with the right tires, would I be able to evade a Ford police interceptor when merging onto a highway assuming a 20 mph roll? Like with lower profile tires? Would that help?

From my experience, the Honda is very peppy and gets up to speed until around 85 mph. Under the right circumstances, I've clocked it up to 100-101 mph @4000-4100 RPMs with my foot to the floor.

It's a 2.4l engine so it's definitely not under powered to compete with a police interceptor at freeway speeds.

So what are my chances?

Ford Escape 2013 Recall- Engine Splicing?

I will spare the details of a lawsuit against the company I recently bought a 2013 escape from and how that has effected warranty and everything else. I was driving my escape about 85mph when it jerked really hard and hasn't stopped jerking as I accelerate since. I thought it was the transmission. A guy through the now bankrupt dealership has been trying everything he can think of that he can do for free to solve the issue, the first thing he said is "I don't think it is the transmission and I hope I'm right". Last night I found out about the recall on the engine splicing issue. Does anyone have any experience with this? When I'm accelerating it is like the car isn't going any faster as I'm holding down the pedal, jerks and then speeds up. All I can find online for this descriptively is "hesitation". Half of my nightmare would be over if this is the issue so that Ford will fix it, but I can't find anything online that makes me more sure.

Ford Escape stumbling while braking and battery light related?

Thanks in advance. I have a 2004 Ford Escape and recently the battery warning light has been flickering on and off. I didn't think much of it until today when it started badly stumbling whenever I brake too hard. The RPMs bottom out and it almost turns off, but doesn't. It doesn't always do this and the light isn't always on, but it's pretty often. Does this seem related? I ask because I recently had to replace all 6 spark plugs and it was stumbling badly before that. It drove great for about 2 weeks before this started so I don't know if its more likely to be related to that, or this new battery issue.

Can it be a bad wheel bearing even if there's no play in the tire?

I have a 2009 Ford Escape and I thought I had a bad front left wheel bearing. But when I grab the tire itself and shake it there's no play. I was told that it was a back left bearing but my car is FWD, so that can't be possible. Then I was told I needed all 4 new tires because they were cupped. But the noise is coming from the front when I drive and I feel it in the pedal and steering.

My dad and I disagree over a car purchase. Whose right? (more information this time)?

So I'm 23, graduated college this year. I have a great and stable job in another state. I pay all of my bills, except the insurance on the my dad's car that I drive temporarily. I have 8,000 in cash that I want to buy a car with. Leaning towards a 2010 Ford Escape. My dad want's me to borrow 10,000 and use my 8,000 as a down payment. I don't want a car payment because I want to pay of my student loans faster. I listen to Dave Ramsey a lot agree with him on this subject.

Annual income: 60k gross
Capacity to save each month: 2,000 (if I continue to live like a college student, and I'm strong saver… Obviously)
Credit score: 700
Been at this job almost 3 months. 9 months left on probation.

My dad is the reason I'm successful at a young age, and I have a lot of respect for him.
We both think we're right and this is getting a little tense.

I want my own car to be financially independent.

2004 Ford Escape gas pedal issue after replacing ignition coils?

Thanks in advance for any assistance. Today I spent most of the day replacing the 6 ignition coils, spark plus, brake pads and rotors on my 2004 Ford Escape. All of the issues that I set out to fix I have fixed, but now I believe I might have created a new one. In order to access the back 3 spark plugs I have to remove the intake manifold and unhook quite a few hoses. I double checked and made sure everything was reconnected and the car ran great initially. I turn out on the main road and gunned it to get up to about 60 mph and everything seemed great. I turned down a side road to slammed on the brakes a couple of times to test them out, also. Once I pulled out on the main road again my gas pedal had basically became loose and was all the way to the floor. I could only push the pedal about an inch before it was maxed out and touching the floor. It acted normal otherwise as far as the rpm's go, but with the limited pedal even with it floored I could only slowly speed up and it took me a full minute to get it to 50 mph. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this right, but I'm hoping the idea is coming across. Once I got it home and parked it for a minute I cranked it again and the pedal had returned to normal, but I didn't want to bring it on the road again. I don't trust it to drive it to work now, and I don't know what I could have done. I checked again and all the hoses/cables seem to be in order. Any idea what could be going on?
