I have to replace the alternator 2001 Ford Escape 3.0 Duratec with 99,000 miles. Should I change the water pump while it's apart?

If it makes it readily accessible that would be a very smart move. Don't know the model but if there's an idler gear those have a habit of going out on alot of vehicles to so pick one of those up to.
After watching a video I would say, why not? I'd like to find all the design engineers and beat the **** out of them
Not unless it's leaking.
If it is not broken, do not fix it.
Blah blah blah
I'm not familiar with that model but the alternator and the water pump are unrelated. Each should be easy to change while the engine sits in the car. So nothing is apart to warrant changing the WP. Why change it IF IT IS NOT CAUSING YOU ANY GRIEF? Most people will leave it until it starts to leak.
Yeah if it's easy to get to.
- How to change water pump on 1993 Ford Tempo? I managed to get the drive belt off but I can't seem to get the tube that goes into the water pump off. It seems to be made of metal or something. I also can't seem to reach the 3 bolts that hold the water pump on, they seem to be in places to tight to reach. Any suggestions?
- I own a 2015 Ford Escape with 30,000 miles and runs good. My prior vehicle had over 150,000 miles and I used Gumout Regane high mileage fuel? System cleaner. I still have a bottle of the Gumout and wondering if I used it in the Escape, would the Gumout do any harm to it? I suppose I could wait until I get 75,000 miles on it before using but I'm a 3000-4000 miles a year driver and the Gumout would go bad before using it.
- I have a 2015 Ford Escape 4WD with 4 new Fuzion tires. Less than 3,000 miles. When cold, after setting overnight, the front or back tire on? The passenger side makes a thumping noise as the tire rotates on the roadway at low speeds for about 100-200 yds, then smooths out and the noise goes away. Can't tell if it's the front or rear. They're properly inflated and have good even treadwear. Any ideas what's causing the noise?
