Flooding problems with 2000 ford ranger xlt 4x4?

It has the 3.0 flex fuel. It has been running Way too rich. It had through a code for inadequate egr flow and O2 sensor showed lean conditions with no switch. I changed the egr valve and the bank 2 o2 sensor and it cleared the check engine lights… But it still is running way too rich. It is burning ALOT of fuel and is missing at idle and will bog down and loss power on the slightest little incline. What is going on with this thing… Again, now there's no check engine light… Maybe a bad fuel pressure regulator?

2000 ford ranger xlt 4x4 with engine problems?

It also has a 3.0l v6. I have posted a few times about it. Anyways, it pings like hell when it is above idle speed. I thought it might be the crankshaft sensor or the knock sensor. The check engine light is on and it has a slight miss at idle. I have changed plugs, wires, oil, filter, and added injector cleaner, high octane fuel, and a lucus oil additive. It is quite at idle now, but at higher rpms 2-4000, it pings like crazy. What's going on? Bad sensor? I took it to a shop to get the cel read and it came up as an unreadable code…

How much should a rear main seal replacement cost?

I have a 2000 ford ranger 4x4 with a 3.0l v6. The rear main seal is leaking, but here is the deal, it has a 3 inch body lift which makes it really easy to reach the transmission bolts vs the factory pull the motor method. So, what do you think it should cost… Ballpark answer?

Did the Ford Ranger roll over when it was equipped with Firestone tires?

I know of a Ford Explorer use to roll over in the nineties because it was equipped with tire blow out of Firestone tires. Ford Ranger at the time were also equipped with Firestone tires. If a Ford Ranger is equipped with Firestone tires is it really possible for it to roll over like the Ford Explorer.

Why won't my truck hood close?

I bought a 2004 2.3 ford ranger. It has the hood of an older model ranger (2002 i believe) so there's a one inch gap from the headlights to the hood. It looks cosmetically terrible so I went to a salvage yard and got the appropriate hood. I installed it and now it looks fine. The problem is that the hood won't close/hook into place. It's as if the hood striker isn't long enough. Could it be that they also installed an older model hood latch on the truck and that's why the striker won't reach?
