Will tires from a 2005 Ford Explorer fit a 1999 Ford Ranger with 4x4? Does 2WD versus 4WD make a difference?

I found a set of 235/75R15 rims and tires off a 2005 Ford Explorer. Being a Ford, I figure the Explorer should fit the Ranger just fine, as 235/75R15 s are a common size tire on Ranger s too. And they are 5-lug pattern on both. However, I didn't know if having a 4x4 Ranger as opposed to a 2x4 would create some problems mounting on the front hubs. And, because my 1999 has the PVH system, it will need manual locking hubs anyway, so I'm not sure if center bore size will also cause an issue.

Will these fit without any hassle?

Gas gauge issues 2001 ford ranger 2wd manual 3.0 engine. 12 gallon gas tank?

The gas gauge fluctuates between 3/8 and 7/8 somewhat correlating to the amount of gas in my tank but it isn't accurate. What can i do to try and fix this problem? I'm hoping it isn't the float in the gas tank and would like to cover everything else before i drop my gas tank.

additional information will be added as requested

Two 12inch subwoofers in my extended cab 2004 ford ranger?

I have a 2004 ford ranger extended can and what i wanna know is, will two 12" subwoofers be heard from like a block away? Each subwoofer will be around 1,000 to 1,200 watts each and a 3,000 watt amp. I used to have two 10" subs but they were only 400watts each as well as the amp. Is two 12" subwoofers going to be heard a block away?

Was Firestone Tires the only tires found on Ford vehicles when they were brand new in the 1980s and 1990s?

Now my Dad many years ago bought a 1992 Ford Ranger as "new". He told me every Ford Truck were equipped witch Firestone Tires and none of them had Goodyear or other tires not made by Firestone. Apparently I bought a 1994 Ford Ranger and it does not have any Firestone tires equipped on it (probably because I bought it used it before I would buy it somebody changed the tires). Anyway my Dad told me that during the 1980s and 1990s Firestone tires where equipped on all Ford trucks and when they were bought new during those decades they never were equipped with Goodyear tires. Where Firestone tires the only tires founs on Ford vehicles during the 1980s and 1990s?

Power steering pump burning fluid?

I have a 1991 Ford Ranger. The engine was rebuilt so its at around 70,000 miles. I have to refill the power steering fluid a lot. Way more often then I should have to. I can't see any kind of a leak at all and no evidence of one. It also smells horribly burnt. Almost like the pump is just burning through the fluid. Any suggestions or ideas as to what this is and a possible fix?

01 ford ranger starting issue. Desperate?

I have been working on my dads 01 ranger xl.
It started when he stopped to get gas and it wouldn t start. Your turn the key and nothing happens. No clicks or anything. Anyways I leant him my truck so he could get to work and me and my uncle went up to fix it. We couldn t get starter bolts loose. We noticed that the pcm fuse in the battery relay box was blown.
Few hours later we decide to jump the solenoid, it works and I get it home.

Now a week later we have replaced entire starter the truck is doing the same thing it was.
I tried to jump the solenoid again but it barely sparked and didn't engage. I have battery on the charger as the volt gauge reads close to low.

Could the pcm fuse being blown cause the circuit from completing? Thus causing no juice to not go through the starter relay fuse?

All fuses are fine except for the pcm which i believe is number six in the battery box.

Honestly if we can't figure it out, i'm gonna run a push button to the starter to last him until he trades it off this spring.
It baffles me that the truck couldn t be started unless we jump the solenoid.
