Was Firestone Tires the only tires found on Ford vehicles when they were brand new in the 1980s and 1990s?

Now my Dad many years ago bought a 1992 Ford Ranger as "new". He told me every Ford Truck were equipped witch Firestone Tires and none of them had Goodyear or other tires not made by Firestone. Apparently I bought a 1994 Ford Ranger and it does not have any Firestone tires equipped on it (probably because I bought it used it before I would buy it somebody changed the tires). Anyway my Dad told me that during the 1980s and 1990s Firestone tires where equipped on all Ford trucks and when they were bought new during those decades they never were equipped with Goodyear tires. Where Firestone tires the only tires founs on Ford vehicles during the 1980s and 1990s?

More or less. Ferd went with firestone. Chevy (not neccessarily GM) employed goodyears. Mopar had uniroyals.
but it all started way earlier than that.
'60's.
big scandle with the firestone product back then. Firestone sidestepped that successfully by putting all production into the lessor name brand "bridgestone".
uniroyal "wide ovals" were found on those wide tracking pontiacs.

prolly a little more dated than your dad i'm. Wrenching since 68.

Wrong i work at louisville assembly we made rangers here from 1982 till 1999 and they had more than firestones on them my 76 f150 came with uniroyals on it i know they had general tires on them goodyears and probally a few others

My '89 Mustang came with Goodyear's…

Firestone was common on many Fords, but they were by no means exclusive. Not all Ford vehicles came with Firestones, If you had a Mustang GT or 5.0L, it came with Goodyears from the factory.
