Hi! I'm having a problem with my 1996 ford ranger. The key won't go into the ignition at all. I've seen people saying that you can turn the steering wheel but I've tried that and also it's parked on a flat surface. This is my only car and I don't have a lot of money so Is this something serious? What can I do about this? I had to take an uber taxi to work which costs a lot of money. Since I can't get the key in I can't drive it anywhere so I'll have to have it towed.
Hi guys… I'm in a bit of a jam and i would like to know your opinion. I recently borrowed my wife s, uncle s van to conduct some business. The van is a late model ford ranger. He had the van over ten years now and it us used for work in his business. The vehicle isn't in mint condition or anywhere close.it just there, but not falling apart either. I borrowed the vehicle and upon starting noticed that both the gas and temperature gauge was not working. The owner gave me the van and I went about my business after about 1 hr of driving the van overheated and shut down. There was no warning signs or smoke until the vehicle had cut off. It won't start and has been two days. I haven't told the owner what has happened because afraisd I will have to buy back an engine now… But in my defense I could not have known that the vehicle was overheating because the temp gauge was not working… Go ahead tell me your opinion and what I should do please because I'm totally confused.
Should I do a voluntary repossession or fix the car? - 1
Added (1). I have a 2002 ford ranger that I financed less than a year ago. The engine is dead and the truck has 170,000 miles on it, I still owe credit acceptance 8,000. Should I do a voluntary repossession? Should I try to work out a settlement and buy a new car? Or buy a used engine and keep making payments? The car is worth 4,000 in great condition from blue book.
Added (2). The dealership has offered to fix it for 6,000. That doesn't include the teardown which is already 1,500. I don't know if that is brand new or what, I haven't looked for deals.
I'm giving my girlfriend a sub for her birthday and i can't figure out how to get her head unit out. Here is a video link to show you the kind of radio she has.
Only difference is that her radio is a kenwood.
My 2006 Ford Ranger won't start even after jumping it, what's the problem?
I have a 1996 ford ranger that keeps slowly bleeding off the battery. I know the proper procedure would be to find the drain and fix it, but I'm not good at wiring and have little money right now. How would I just install a deadman switch to kill the power when I turn the truck off?
I have a 93 ford ranger. Last winter the heater worked descent. Blowing above warm air. Not as warm as my newer model car but it worked. The beginning of this winter it wasn't quite as warm as last year. Within 2-3 weeks its now blowing out cold air (defrost panel floor all vents). Last night at roughly 25-30 degrees I drove it approx. 10 miles occasionally turning heater/defrost on to try to defrost windshield some and upon returning home it sounded like boiling water under the hood.
I have a stock maroon 1997 Ford Ranger XLT, reg cab, short bed, 2wd. I'm getting 15x7, 5x4.5, Be:3.75 black pro comp wheels and am just going for a stock look, no big tires. What would you recommend? 205/70/15 or 215/70/15 or 75/15 or?
