Why won't my ford ZX2 car turn over?

So I was trying to install an amp late last night, drilled through my firewall for the power cable, disconnected my negative battery terminal, disconnected the positive, accidentally cause a spark. Hooked up amp cable reconnected positive, then negative. When I get in my car, the radio, the lights, the air everything works fine, except the car won't turn over, it will crank strong but no turn over, I tried jumping it, no good, I took it all apart, removed the amp and power/ground cables, still same issue, I'm assuming the spark didn't short my battery because all the electric is still going strong (I may be wrong) I was thinking maybe a bad starter? But it worked fine before the battery terminals were disconnected and reconnected? Bad fuse? Something to do with the fuel injector? Any advice and where/how to start looking would be much appreciated, thanks.

Added (1). It's a 98 ford escort zx2 sport auto transmission 4 cylinder, it was working fine until I disconnected the battery, after reconnection, it cranks strong but it just won't start. I touched nothing other than the battery, please send help.

Why does my serpentine belt fall off sometimes?

I have a 1998 Ford Escort ZX2 with over 200k miles so I know she's not a spring chicken. Sometimes the serpentine belt slips off the pulleys (it's happened 3 times in the past year) and it has always been after driving in a downpour or through a puddle. I avoid puddles when possible, but I have hit a few and drove in heavy rain & the belt doesn't always slip off, just sometimes. One time it had to be replaced because of missing teeth, but the past 2 times the belt looked new. I have the correct belt, we triple checked. I was wondering if anyone knows anything I can try to avoid belt slippage because it is a pain in the *** waiting to be rescued when it happens.

Why does my car turn off?

I have a 2000 Ford escort zx2. What happens is that when I have my car on Park I turn the steering wheel all the way till you can't turn it no more and it turns off by itself. My car shakes every time I turn the steering wheel (left and right) when on Park. I know it shakes because the engine mounts aren't that good but why does it want to turn off?

Alternator prob. Diagnose Ford zx2 98 Why won't the battery hold a charge?

My '98 escort zx2 has started acting up(again). About a month back there was a three day stent where the car remained parked. It started fine and ran like normal, and got me to destination a. Left in accessory mode for about 10 minutes waiting on food seemed to drain the battery as it no longer had the power enough to turn over. Still power to all functions. A jump got me home, and for the next few weeks all was fine. Now I'm having the same issue. It either starts up fine, or doesn't successfully turn over. I replaced the battery and put in on a charge overnight, and that too bought me a few days. The most recent jump took almost five minutes connected to the donor car before it would start. Second thought is alt. Went bad. But it confuses me that once running the car seems fine. Hence the reason I'm here seeking your advice. And thanks in advance for your time and effort.

Car shakes when stopped?

When I'm driving my car, it's fine, doesn't shake, and rides smoothly. As soon as I brake it starts shaking. By the time I'm completely stopped, the steering wheel is locked, and it shuts off. The lights, and radio stay on. It will recrank, but I need to get this fixed and soon. Any ideas what this could be? Cost to fix? I drive a 98 ford escort.
