Car shut off while driving so i pulled over to find a huge hole in the crank and motor oil spilling out. The car never over heated, but i got the crank fixed but when i put it on car won't start, checked the spark plugs to find water in the spark plugs also check the compression of the cylinders and all are at 0!
My 1999 Ford Escort won't change gears till 4000+ RPMs. What could be the problem?
I have a 2001 Ford Escort zx2 and it idles rouch, like just below 1000 rpms. If you turn on the air conditioner it drops to around 600-700rpms. I can't make it die and when I take off it powers away very nicely. Runs smooth at speed, just idles rough.
I don't have a lot of money so I don't want to be replacing every freak'n part. Is it the pcv value or hose, or the idle control or the crankshaft sensor, or something else?
The check engine light does come on as soon as started and even at highway speeds stay on. Any ideas? Would diagnostics device help me any?
Added (1). Edit: If I do nothing will it damage anything? Like wait a few months to get it looked at?
I have a ford 2001 escort sports edition, and i recently got my brakes fixed (new brake pads and calibers) and after a few weeks when i an completly stopped at a red light the accelerate, the brake light goes on for a few seconds and then will go off. And nothing feels wrong with the car.

I have a 2000 ford escort zx2 and when I brake from a moderate to high speed I hear a knocking noise that doesn't stop until the car does. Noise isn't as present when stopping from slow speed. Also, I can feel the popping on the floor board mostly on the passenger side. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I have a 01 escort I just recently bought and it has been sitting for 2 years. I've drove it for a couple days and the air and heat worked great in it until one morning it quit blowing. Did my blower go out or what? Any suggestions before I start ripping things apart?
Also the dipped bean lights all other lights work had two new stalks fitted still not working now told fuse box is this right
Added (1). let me update lights don't work on dipped beam tried fuse bulbs all wiring up to stalks as they have been changed as they all run off the fuse box they are saying its that
So my 2001 Ford escort zx2 is grinding gears only when put into second gear but it only grinds inbigher rpm. When driving around town and shifting between 2500 and 3000 rpm everything is fine. No grinding but sometimes when I want to pass someone and shift from first to second gear between the 4500 and 6000 rpm range that is when the gear will grind but its only second gear. No other gear grinds. If I down shift from third to second it still doesn't grind. Only when going from first to second gear. Could the synchronizer has gone bad and maybe needs to be replaced or is it a different issue? What could be the problem?
