Car will not shift into park?

The car was in drive, when trying to shift into park the gear shift moved but the car remained in drive, it also shows it is in drive. Now the shift is stuck in the park position with the car in drive. I noticed a white wire leading into the shifter was severed, I do not know when this happened or if it is related. The vehicle is now off and can't be started since the vehicle thinks it is in drive but the key was removed from ignition. It is a 2002 Ford Escape. Please ask for more info if needed.

Painting a car with Rustoleum spray paint?

So I have a question about painting a car with simple rustoleum spray paint. First, let me just say that the car I'm working on is a 2001 Ford Escape XLT V6. It was my mom's old car, she got a new one so she handed this one over to me. It is over 200,000 miles, multiple problems in the engine/tranny and if I'm lucky I'll get another 20,000 miles out of it before it gives out. The reason I'm telling you that is because I'm not looking into spending a whole boat load of money because the car is not worth it. I'm just a dumb 17 year old kid with a car that I want to trip out a bit and have some fun with it before it gives out. I want to make it like a zombie mobile kind of like in the pick. I want flat colors, so no clear coat. My dad is in construction so he already has every piece of sand paper there's and painters tape, etc. Here are my questions:
1.) Should I use just regular Rustoleum spray paint, or Rustoleum auto spray paint?
2.) Should I sand the entire car before actually spaying it? If so, what grit do I need?
3.) How many coats?
4.) Should I put a Rustoleum Primer on?
5.) I live in FL, will the paint be fine in the rain and all that after if cures?
I'm sure I have more questions about it but I can't think of them right now, so if someone could please give me as much info as you can that would be AWESOME! Again, I'm NOT looking into spending a few hundred dollars here, just a few bucks here and there for the paints and/or primer. Please and thank you!Painting a car with Rustoleum spray paint

Ford Escape Reliability Issues?

"I own the 2011 V6 Limited version, plenty of power, to get up and go. Little bit of torque steer, since it is FWD with AWD/4WD. But just keep your foot under control and it's like driving a sports car with a lift kit. Pros and Cons… Pros Great for snow, mud, just bad weather in general, one of the best. Ground clearance makes it nice.Cons Plastics inside are very cheap around the MSync control panel, glossy black is a scratch and fingerprint magnet. A few rattles especially from the large center console. Heated seats only have an "on" setting, non adjustable, and start within about 60 seconds but will burn you up. Handling (because of the narrow high center of gravity) is very poor. Would be very easy to roll in an emergency Lots of recalls, for the throttle body, transmission issues. Already had mine in after I got it used for a leak underneath the engine block. Under warranty, but a pain. Also I've heard a lot of other people who have lots of problems with the engine overall. Received favorable rating until about 2010. Via MSN Auto, USNEWS, etc. Electric seat positioning is limited, (roll lumbar), always feels like you're going to fall forward towards the steering wheel. Even with the seat put all the way down. Lacks any passenger seat comforts. No fold down arm rest in the back seats. Overall for the price of SUV's it's good, not great. I'm just waiting for something to go wrong based on all I've read about the overall dependability of the vehicle.Ford Escape Reliability Issues Added (1). Sorry had to get rid of some of the review I did, mostly pros. To many words.

There are tiny roaches in my car?

A few days ago, I purchased a 2002 Ford Escape. I went to get into my car the next day and found little roaches (there are like 2 different kinds in there) around the driver's seat, in the back floorboard, and coming out of the gear shift on the floor. I do not want to bug bomb my vehicle. I don't want to risk my baby getting sick if I were to miss some places after cleaning or if the fumes took too long to go away.

Subwoofer not working despite being given power?

I just recently in purchased a sub

Infinity Reference 1260w 12-inch 1200-watt Hugh Performance Subwoofer (Single voice coil) to be more specific.

An amplifier,

Planet Audio AC1200.2 Anarchy 1200-watts Full Range Class AB 2 channel 2 ohm stable amplifier

And some planet audio cords to go with it

Planet Audio Pak4 4-gauge Amp Installation Kit

I have everything hooked up in my 2010 Ford Escape XLT w/Moon&Tune.
The subwoofer is connected to the factory sub in the rear of the vehicle. Deposited power getting to the sub, it won't hit.

I just got rear ended but i can't see any damage to my car?

It was a pretty hard impact. I have a 2008 ford escape but i have a 2inch hitch that took all of the impact. He was driving a vw toureg and his front bumper was smashed pretty good. I'm just wondering what could possibly be damaged on my car that i can't see like the transmission, brakes, electionics etc. I will be getting a mechanic to look at it through insurance. I have a slight concussion, neck & back pain from the impact so it was that hard of a hit. If i didn't have a hitch my bumper would be smashed in.
