Is my car insurance payment too high?

I have a 2001 Ford Escape. It's pretty old, so I don't have full coverage. My car insurance started off as around $65 a month and I got into an accident that was my fault (I could have fought it in court, but I just didn't have the money/time, so I took the blame). My car insurance went up to $85 a month. $85 just seems too high though for only getting into a car accident 1 time. I'm currently with Geico, but am thinking of switching to Allstate or somewhere cheaper. Is this a good idea or are my car insurance payments okay? I do like the way Geico handled the car accident, but for an 2001, it just seems so high!

Am I paying too much for car insurance?

Can I save money by selling my car for a cheaper one?

I have a ford escape now and was wondering if I should get a cheaper one. I thought that maybe it would make my payments lower? Also, if i could find one with less miles, i would think there wouldnt be as many possible problems? And finally if i can find one that is better on gas. I'm only 18 and haven't had a car very long. Asked my mom and she didn't really have a concrete answer. Just thinking about ways to save money.

What are good first cars?

I'm a 16 year old guy and I'm saving to buy my first car. I'm looking for a nice SUV. I usually drive SUVs so I know how they handle. Are any of them soccer mom cars? Here's what I'm looking at.

-2000 Ford Explorer Limited 4WD (5.0 V8)
-2003 Honda Pilot EX-L 4WD
-2003 Volvo XC70 AWD
-2004 Volvo XC90 AWD
-2005 Ford Escape Limited AWD
-2006 Ford Freestyle Limited AWD

What car should I get? Which ones are good in the winter?

Price for Firestone tuneup sound okay?

I have a 2005 ford escape 6 cylinder xlt, 170k on it, got quoted $320 for an engine tuneup at Firestone. Sounded outrageous to me a first, did some research and apparently a standard tuneup runs anywhere from 200-600?

Added (1). Update: the work is the plugs, fuel system cleaning (not the filter, i asked about that), and the air filter. The labor will take 3 hours because of the difficult location of the plugs.

Can I put this stereo in my car?

I'm thinking about buying a 2000 Lincoln Navigator. The stereo that came with it was already pretty good. I recently rode in a 2005 Ford Escape Limited. That had a Mach 300 audio system. I really liked this stereo. Could I put this stereo in a Navigator? Could I hook it up to the steering wheel controls?

Why is my truck making a putt-putt like sound?

I have a 2006 ford escape, v6 3.0L, and when we start coming to a stop and idle, at say a stop sign or light, the truck starts putt-putting as if its out of gas or something and the RPM go down to 0 (no its not out of gas). So far it hasn't died on us but we had the same issue with our Focus and the couple people we took it to couldn't figure out what's wrong, I'm assuming we just have the same bad luck and its going to happen again.

also when we quickly accelerate say over the 3 RPM it makes this horrible squealing sound, is that something different or has to do with the issue above?
