Ford power steering, what's wrong?

2003 ford escape 3 liter v6 power steering wines not too bad can't hear if music is on. Only makes noise when it's been sitting over night and for about 10 minutes after startup. No apparent leaks and reservoir is full. What might be wrong.

Brown Transmission Fluid? Tranny filter? A/C?

Ok, so I'm 17 my mom just got a new car my sister got her new car, my dad has his truck and my grandma doesn't drive. So instead of my mom getting rid of her old vehicle she gave it to me. But here's the thing, she is terrible when it comes to maintaining a vehicle. I'm driving with my hazards on because my Radiator Reservoir sprung a huge leak and it overheats so I have to make very frequent stops and put water in it (I just ordered a new one) I will try to be as specific as possible, this vehicle is a 2001 Ford Escape XLT V6 Engine and it actually managed to go past the 200,000 miles milestone. I checked the transmission fluid today and it's brown. I read that it means that it's burnt and it needs to be changed, obviously, but should I drain it completely and refill? What do I do? What about the tranny filter? Should that be changed too? Also, I live in FL so AC is a must have, but unfortunately it isn't working. The blowers and stuff are working and the car isn't taking the Freon. I was showed how to do it at an auto place so I know I did it right. I think there might be a leak in the pump or something, i don't know. What should I be looking for? I'm no mechanic obviously, I'm just trying to keep this running and I'm looking for a job so I can't afford to have someone else "fix" it for me lol. Please and thank you.

Should I still Consider a Ford Escape (2013)?

Beening Looking for a Smaller SUV (I have a Kia Sportage 2005).
I have been liking the Hyundai Santa Fa Sport or Tucson (2013 or 2014 version)
Then I saw a Ford Escape 2013 SEL version. Some of these are $5k less and have even more features (park assist) and stuff. But a lot of the Reviews online talk about all the recall stuff that is happening with this Ford? (I do realize people are more likely to write a negative review then a positive one). So should I still consider it?

Ford not covering factory warranty. 2011 ford escape?

I purchased a used vehicle from a dealership (not ford dealership) I had it for a couple months and noticed one day that under the hood and inside the liftgate there's rust. The liftgate is pretty bad and I would estimate a couple years before the entire bottom couple inches will be rusted off. I bring to ford dealership. And they Take pics and send to ford. As I guessed ford said it's not "perforated" which they define as a hole.

I have read the warranty and the word that they use is perforation. Now when looking up the definition of this I feel I can win a court of law. Perforation has no definition of size and also having eaten through layers is within defenition. I guarantee there are holes at the smallest levels unable to be seen by the eye and also the layers of the liftgate have been eaten through as well. What's really comical is the vehicle is a escape 2011 which is 6 years unlimited miles. It's only been shy of 3 years and it will still be covered when the rust destroys the entire gate at 3 times the cost at that time. I'd be saving ford money lol

My real question is does anyone have any advice or experience getting resolution?

I have no problem getting an attorney I have used in the past to call them for me. But I'd rather not spend a few hundred for a phone call or a letter. And yes it's under factory warranty still

Ford escape shaking and vibrating. Any car guys?

One day, out of nowhere it seems, my 2002 escape started to get this vibrating sound. I can hear it above 25-30mph and it get faster and louder with speed. It doesn't shake the car uncontrollably or very aggressively and the car is driveable but it is annoying as heck. I assume it's coming from the front right and when I turn right at higher speeds (like a big long turn on highway) it goes away. So I'm assuming the weight is coming off that tire and it isn't producing the sound. For some reason I feel like my brakes feel a little soft but I know how things can start playing with your mind when somethings wrong, so no telling for sure.

I had a rotate and balance done and it didn't seem to help. Any idea or suggestions where to start?

Radiator coolant tank for a Ford?

So I was driving and I noticed white smoke/steam coming from the hood. I pop the hood open and the coolant tank that connects to the radiator (the thing where you pour 50/50 and water in to keep the radiator from overheating, I forgot what it's called) sprung a leak. It is squirting out of the top and leaking out at the bottom. So where can I find a coolant tank thing for a 2001 Ford Escape XLT V6 Engine? Am I going to have to call the Ford company and track one down? The tank thing is plastic.

Which one would you choose?

Which one would you get? I'm having trouble deciding between the two. Other than the price difference which one would be a better option?
