Ford escape shaking and vibrating. Any car guys?
One day, out of nowhere it seems, my 2002 escape started to get this vibrating sound. I can hear it above 25-30mph and it get faster and louder with speed. It doesn't shake the car uncontrollably or very aggressively and the car is driveable but it is annoying as heck. I assume it's coming from the front right and when I turn right at higher speeds (like a big long turn on highway) it goes away. So I'm assuming the weight is coming off that tire and it isn't producing the sound. For some reason I feel like my brakes feel a little soft but I know how things can start playing with your mind when somethings wrong, so no telling for sure.
I had a rotate and balance done and it didn't seem to help. Any idea or suggestions where to start?
Your tires may been worn unevenly. It is especially noticeable when the front tires have a bad wear pattern as you can feel it in the steering wheel. If its not your tires, the next thing i would check is to make sure your wheel bearings don't have any play in them. Not only will it cause a wobble and loud moaning noise, but it is also extremely dangerous. Best of luck
- Why is my car vibrating and making noises? When I turn the car on, it makes a loud noise. I hear the noise all throughout when I'm driving. When I'm at slow speeds, I don't' really hear the noise. Also, the car vibrates also. I feel it especially in the gas pedal. Not sure what's wrong/. Ford told me it was a motor mount and a mechanic said the exhaust needed to be changed. I did both and I still hear the noise and feel the vibration. What could be wrong? I'm running out of possibilities
- Car shaking and rattling? I have a 2000 Ford Taurus, it was driving fine until to day. The car just started shaking rattling, kinda sound ed like a lawn mower. Also seems to lose power at times and has trouble shifting gears. (It's an automatic). Of anyone can help that'd be great. Could it be the transmission it perhaps bad motor mounts?
- 99 Ford Taurus: ok guys and ladies, let's wreck our brains on this? I went to store one day bought a soda, got back in my car turned the key: NOTHING. I POPPED hood no sign of anything I'd obviously suspect. Battery charged fuses good, but only half my dash indicator lights come on. Doors lock, Windows work, but get this, the running lights stay on! No key no switch just stay on. OBD Il port won't respond to diagnostic tool. Before you say PCM, think about my symptoms. I'm here waiting… Ford tech reach out and help me!
- Vibrating problems with Ford Focus Zetec 2014? My focus has 39k 1.6 disel, I have vibration around the pedals area and air vents area, I have had the car fully checked by Ford and Vauxhall who are unable to locate a problem, they say engine mounts are fine also, any ideas what could be causing this as it's very annoying?
