2001 ford escape car shakes hard when breaking or high speeds?

Alignment or warped rotors could be the problem.

Seized caliper.

Or alignment problems

One of or a combination of. Worn joints. Bushes, damper.buckled wheel. Out of balance wheel.
try checking for wear in joints. From wheels mainly. Then swap front for rear wheels.won't be alignment.

  • Car shakes still? My 94 Ford Taurus shakes on the highway. 65-80 mph and after 80 it stops? I've gotten new tie rods, a realignment, new breaks, and resurfaced rotors, and it still happens to shake even though the mechanic said that the problem was the rotors being warped. Before I spend more money on the damned thing I was wondering if anyone here had some insight to why it's still shaking on the highway. One thing I've noticed is that when I accelerate a chirping sound ensues and chirps faster as I go faster? Any ideas? Please?
  • Suspension creaking/moaning over bumps or breaking at low speeds? My 2004 Ford falcon has a bad moaning/creaking sound come from the front left of the car when going over small bumps or breaking what could this be?
  • Can a ford ranger safely sustain speeds of 85-90 mph without any problems at all? I'm looking for a pickup truck that can haul stuff and is good for driving off roaming occasionally but I also what a pickup that has good performance as well. My question is can a 2007 ford ranger XLT 4.0 v6 5 speed manual sustain speeds of 85-90 mph or is that pushing the limits of this truck?
  • Pennzoil High Mileage vs Castrol GTX High Mileage? My local auto store has 5 quarts of Pennzoil High Mileage for 16.99, but 5 quarts of Castrol GTX High Mileage on sale for 9.99$. Which one is better, or does it not even matter and I should just get the cheaper one? It's going in a 2002 Ford Focus ZTS with 155*** miles on it.
