Why are people always bashing Ford?

I always wonder why people make Ford's out to be garbage. I've had my Ranger since I was 16. That was 17 years ago and it still runs like a beauty.

1998 ford ranger has problems with the 4wd system?

I have a 1998 ford ranger and the 4wd system will not engage unless I'm moving at about 5mph. It will not do it if I'm moving faster or if I'm setting still. When it engages, the front axles make a grinding noise. It has the pulse vaccum hubs and not the live axle 4wd system. My question is, how do I convert it over to a live axle? Do I have to change the entire front diff and axles as well as hub assembly? Also, what could the issue be with it now? Do you think it could just be the motor on the transfer case? I have checked all the electrical wiring, including the 4wd module, and everything is good to the motor. I'm not sure though how the front hubs engage… Is it like a chevrolet with an actuator on the front diff?

My 1998 Ford Ranger 3.0L V6 Is Running Lean? How do I fix it?

I have a 1998 Ford Ranger 3.0L V6, and I had a Diagnostic Scan on it earlier today, and one of the trouble codes that bothered me was the "Engine Is Running Lean". I replaced the fuel injector on Cylinder 2 today. I have 6 new plantinum spark plugs, and wires that were put on about a week ago. The truck is running really good right now. It was running on 5 cylinders recently, because of the bad fuel injector. I took it out for a drive today, and the temp. Stayed at the normal level, and nothing seemed different, except that I got back more horsepower. There was one other code, and that had to do with the EGR system. The EGR Vacuum Selonoid is bad, and it needs to be replaced. Could that be one of the reasons my engine to running too lean? What could be the other causes of this problem on my truck? Please help? If you help me out a lot, I will award you best answer, and give you extra points.

Timing belt replacement on 1997 Ford Ranger 2.3L XLT?

I'm replacing a timing belt on my ford ranger in the morning, I was curious if I have to remove the crankshaft pulley in order to time it or if I just have to line up the markings and then put the belt back on. And no suggestions to take it to a mechanic most people learn by doing themselves its an old truck so that's what I'm doing.

Strange chirping sound from car, but it's not a belt issue?

I have a 2004 Ford Ranger and had recently replaced the Drive Belt, Tensioner, and Idler Pulley. However, the noise continues to make a chirping sound. I had removed the drive belt and started the car VERY briefly and still heard this chirping sound (I put it back on afterwards).

I'm very confused and I can't find any good answers on what to do now. The chirping will only occur when the car is warm AND idling/low rpms.

Added (1). 3.0 Liter Engine

Added (2). I'll update this question when I find the solution. So far I'm getting good leads by you guys

Added (3). It was indeed the camshaft synchronizer AND the sensor that went bad. The bearings in the synchronizer were going out and making the chirping noise and replaced both and now the chirping is gone.

I was in a side impact collision with another car and now she s trying to sue?

The intersection is a T with one stop sign merging onto a state highway (not interstate) it was raining, I came to a complete stop turned left to get on the highway, I was hit by a lady who has been charged with driving with no tags, insurance, or licence. She also got a ticket for possession of class 2 drugs and parafenalla. She hit the rear axle of the Ford ranger and spun it into the ditch. She s also had a charge in 2012 of wreckless driving and served time over it. And loss her licence. She left the scene of the accident with the ambulance before police arrived. She also had a infant in the car. I didn't see her over no lights burning and the police said she was Speeding but didn't give her a ticket over it. The insurance company called and said she is taking out a claim on me for the wreck. The officer said it was my fault. So I'm going to lawyer up.
