Added (1). Recovery bottle was at half full after work was done, had been checking the level about every hundred miles and noticed the level was dropping. Where could it be leaking? Not leaking from recovery bottle, thermostat or radiator, etc.

Inverter -vs- Gas Generator?

I'll be starting work on our house next spring, and, as there's no power out there yet, I need to bring my own. So, I would like to know the pros and cons of using a gas generator, vs an inverter that is run off my 4-cyl Ford Ranger. Just so you know, the inverter set up already has a point in its favor in that I will be able to continue using it after the solar panels are set up.

Is my tranny dead? I have a 1996 ford ranger with an automatic trans

I've been having lots of trouble with my tranny, i have to press very lightly&go very slowly to reverse. While driving it won't shift unless i get it up to at lest 3rpm, let go of the gas until it reaches 2rpm and i feel it shift, then hit the gas again so i can speed up. The other day i got in and drove it to the gas station then to the bank. At the bank there were only spots that would require me to reverse out. I had to drive around a bit first because i guess it needed to be a little warmed up before it could reverse.so i back up into the parking spot and go into the bank for about 25 min. When i come out my battery had died. It was very cold that morning so i'm guessing that may be why it died.ihad someone jump me and i tried to put it into drive but nothing happened. The shifter moves through all the gears but the truck doesn't actually shift. Each gear has a different feel everything it shifts and there was no change. I even tried the 4x4 and that's wasn't working either(it has a certain feel and sound when i drop it in 4wheel). I have had the truck only for about 2 months.

Low coolant temperature code 2008 Ford Ranger?

I have a 2008 Ford Ranger XL, regular cab, short bed, 4x2 with over 203,000 miles. Around a yr ago the check engine light came on with the 0128 low coolant temperature code. No performance issues at all, fuel economy is the same. Temp gauge gets to a "normal" level between cold and half. A/C and heat work great. What could be the possible issues causing the code? So far all I've read and heard is thermostat is stuck open, truck heats to normal level just as it always has. Could it be thermostat or cht (cylinder head temperature sensor)?
