What would this sound like?

This is probably a stupid idea but I've seen a few peeps on YouTube do this. I have an 02 ford ranger extended cab as a daily driver. I'm really into car audio though and I was gonna upgrade my highs and bass. One idea I had was putting my subs in my bed with my bed cover on top. I was going to limit any bed cover rattling noise possible too if I had them turned up. I know I ll be limiting bed space but I honestly would love seeing it big bass in action every now and then. I ll have my cab space back too since it is extended cab. I just want some opinions. I plan on keeping my truck for a few more years. Just want some loud music. Opinions. Preferably people who are actually into audio.

Why can't powerful cars tow like trucks can?

I don't know if this a dumb question, but I don't understand why you can't, I know you aren't supposed to but why. If my 230 hp Ford Ranger can tow 6000lbs, why can't the 845 hp dodge demon tow something, it has way more hp, way more torque and 2 more cylinders. Does it have something to do with the suspension not being able to hold the weight or what?

Self Adjusting vs Non Self Adjusting Clutch?

What kind of a clutch does a 1998 Ford ranger XLT 2wd 2.5 4 cylinder use from the factory?

I have checked several forums and the answers are conflicting. Does anyone by chance know whether this type of truck needs a self adjusting or non self adjusting clutch?

ABS light unidentifiable?

I have a 2000 ford ranger 4x4. I have an abs light on and have tried my code reader on it… My reader is supposed to read and codes and I had it set on the right program. Anyways, it said no codes stored on the module. So, I borrowed a friends and it said the same thing and so did the parts store. Any ideas on what's going on and why? I may ought to take it to the dealer.

Random engine knock and oil pressure needle bouncing?

I have a 1999 Ford Ranger with 200K miles. Recently, on occasion when starting the truck, a knock would come from the engine (sounds like the knock is coming from the rear of the motor on the passenger's side) which would usually subside as it warmed up then go away. Had the oil changed about 1-2 months ago, there's plenty of oil, and there's no oil leak. Coincidentally or not, the knock isn't as frequent when the truck has mid-grade gas in it versus regular unleaded.

Now the other day I heard and saw the oil pressure gauge needle pinging off the stopper wildly from high to low. It appears to start bouncing when I'm at +/- 20 mph and slowing down, and then it goes crazy when I'm at idle. When I rev the engine while idling or begin to accelerate, the needle stops bouncing and rests at normal and I don't see it bouncing while driving 25 mph and faster.

My first thought was that I had a short or that it was an electrical problem. Now I'm wondering if it's the switch or sender, or even the oil pump itself. Any thoughts on what might be causing this/these issues? Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Why did Ford not sell the crew cab Ranger in the US?

Almost every other automaker that offered a compact or midsize truck (Chevrolet/GMC S-10/Sonoma, Toyota Tacoma, Dodge Dakota, Nissan Frontier; Mazda and Isuzu had small pickups but crew cab was only offered outside the US) sold crew cab variants, but Ford didn't have a crew cab available for its Ranger, in spite of the Ranger's success.

Considering how the Ford F-150 crew cab was a roaring success, why did Ford not opt to have a Ranger crew cab sold in the US? This perplexes me to no end…
