Car revs to 1000 RPM then drops when idling?

My car sputters, and noisily revs up to 1000 RPM then drops to about 500 RPM and then revs up to 1000 RPM again. It takes about 10 seconds each time to do this. The car shakes a little and worsens each cycle the longer I have to sit at a light. There's no Check Engine light on. None of the lights on the dashboard are on. It's a little automatic 2002 Ford Focus ZX3. I know there could be numerous problems, but could anyone happen to guess what it could be?

Scared to drive with instructor?

I'm about to start my driving hours and I'm absolutely terrified! Yes I've driven before but it was mostly in big trucks (it's what my parents own). And I absolutely suck at it! Like I ended up snapping a break line on one of them. I'm worried I'll do horrible with the instructor, she however owns a small ford focus, but I've never driven in a car before I don't know what it's like. My friend just completed her first session with the same instructor and said the lady made her drive in reverse and do random infinity signs in the parking lot! I can't do that! I'm so nervous and scared. Does anyone have any tips about driving? How to help me calm me **** before driving?

Best/cheapest car insurance site?

I'm a 23 year old male who has held a completely clean full license for 1 year/4 months, had no accidents or claims or anything of the sort. I had initially been paying £90 a month with hastings smartmiles when I had my clio last year, however the timing belt went on it so I had to get rid and wasn't in the position to buy another car right away at the time, so I had to cancel the policy and pay charges etc.

I've recently showed interest in buying a ford focus zetec 2004 and did a quote search on a comparison site, which, to my disbelief came back with results that are at an astonishing £3000-£7000 a year!

W T F?!

There's no way in HELL I can afford that kind of money. Someone please tell me it has to be wrong and it's a case of bad website choices on the comparison sites behalf…

AUX button on key fob for 08 Ford Focus SES?

Just got the car, and I'm not sure what it does. I also know there's a wire coming from my rearview mirror that looks like it is for an antenna or even an alarm perhaps? Any ideas?

Ford focus TDCI 2007 won't start?

I had a blowing injector on my focus and decided to replace the part. I followed my Haynes manual and managed to complete the job with ease. Issue is that I didn't disconnect the battery like it said. Now the issue is that the car won't start as I think the engine management is saying there's a fault on the fuel system. I don't know what to do now I've tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting so it re-starts the engine management system but it didn't work!

Should I choose Comprehensive or Collision auto insurance?

I'd like you please to advice me what insurance should I get for my used 2008 Ford Focus S coupe. I'm a student and from Oregon. I's searching and I found 21st Century Insurance, and they offer either Comprehensive or Comprehensive and Collision only, and I thought I should get Collision coverage because it's the one I need in case a damage occur to my car. "What do you think?"

For now I looked Esurance and they offer 82$ and 21st Century and offer 73 if I choose Comprehensive 1000$ with no Collision coverage.
