So you know the little thing in the backseat he folds down and has two cup holders. Does it have it we're getting a SE 2014 hatchback. Please answer
I'm 16 and about to get my license. With this comes my first car. I do want a hatchback but I'm wondering which one is the best in terms of overall ride and fuel consumption (I.e. VW Golf, Honda fit, Ford Focus SI)?
It has 2 door handle problems. One side door does not open, and the pasanger does not open from outside only inside.has 155,000 miles. Small broken side window. Its a fair car runs good. Just those flaws. For how much should I sell car? I paid 1,200. Before the small window was broken.
I've been a banker at First Merit for almost 2 years and I'm trying to get a car loan for 17,500.00 to buyout my leased 2013 Ford Focus. I've had the car for 12 months and have NEVER been late or missed so much as a penny on that payment. I checked my credit score and it meets First Merit's standards (must have score of 640 or over in order to even apply, mine is a 660) the only downside is that my last job was only for 7 months and that's because of so many lay offs so I switched to my current job a month ago. I'm worried that since I haven't had a good job history that I may not get the loan and it's been three hours and I still haven't heard anything.
I got a new job recently about 2 hours away. About 60 miles of the drive includes windy country roads that i have been told are either never plowed or half plowed in the winter. I'm also looking into a few other job opportunities in the same area so i may have 2 jobs in that area. Moving isn't an option either for my wife and I and i really don't mind the commute. Its located around the middle of Missouri so sometimes we get a lot of snow in the winter, but other times there isn't too much. This past winter my 2010 ford focus with front wheel drive did not do very well in the snow, but i have since then replaced the tires. I had a truck before my current car and it always did good in the snow. I'm considering getting a truck with 4 wheel drive again that way i will not have any issues getting to work during the winter. I would also like to have a truck for the convenience of hauling things and possibly towing in the future. My current car only has about 8 more payments until it is paid off and gets on average 34 mpg while traveling to work. Those are the only reasons making me hesitate on getting the truck. What do you all think i should do? Should i keep my car or sell it and get a truck with 4 wheel drive?
Added (1). Unfortunately having 3 cars between the 2 of us is not an option either and i'm really not interested in an SUV. I just don't know if the bad weather is enough to start over again on a car payment and get worse gas mileage.
Looking for a car for a student, I've received 2 offers, a 2006 Ford Focus for $4000 cash or a 2005 Hyundai Elantra for $4900 with $2000 down and the rest financed. Which would be a better deal? Go with the payment plan or scrap up all my cash? Both cars have been well maintained but can someone who knows cars tell me which would last longer?
This is driving me crazy so hope someone can give me a pointer to what might be causing the problem.
Basically, reverse light isn't working.
Things I've tried:
1) Swapping Reverse Switch (at garage, who said it made no difference)
2) Checking reverse switch function (at boot connector, with car in gear and out of gear), checked bulb-holder, checked reverse connector (in boot) All with multimeter. All report voltage (@11v).
3) Took the bulb holder (and bulb) and swapped with Fog Light's bulb connector (moving from Reverse connector TO Fog Light connector) so bulb holder and bulb are ok.
4) Put an LED across the reverse light connector and it lights.
5) Attempted to put wires into the connector and connect the bulb (ie remove the bulb connector out of the equation) - and the bulb didn't light up! (but an LED did…)
6) Spraying connectors with Electrical Contact Cleaner (made no difference) - they didn't appear corroded anyway.
7) oh and fuse checked too (it's on the same circuit as wing mirrors and they work)
So to confirm.
1) I know the bulb works
2) I know the holder works
3) I know the connector is putting out 11+ volts
4) The ground works (hence successful LED test)
Could the amps/watts be insufficient to light the bulb, even though the Volts read 11V?
