Best/cheapest car insurance site?
I'm a 23 year old male who has held a completely clean full license for 1 year/4 months, had no accidents or claims or anything of the sort. I had initially been paying £90 a month with hastings smartmiles when I had my clio last year, however the timing belt went on it so I had to get rid and wasn't in the position to buy another car right away at the time, so I had to cancel the policy and pay charges etc.
I've recently showed interest in buying a ford focus zetec 2004 and did a quote search on a comparison site, which, to my disbelief came back with results that are at an astonishing £3000-£7000 a year!
W T F?!
There's no way in HELL I can afford that kind of money. Someone please tell me it has to be wrong and it's a case of bad website choices on the comparison sites behalf…
For me, in my situation now, it turned out to be State Farm. When I had the business open and needed commercial coverage, my best fit was Progressive.
In your current situation you aren't going to find much under what you have already found, male, under age 25, canceled policy and currently no insurance = high risk. Just the nature of the beast.
£3,000 is about right for that car and your level of experience. I would be surprised if you can find anything much cheaper.
You have little experience so you will not get cheap insurance on the majority of cars and there are no magic websites for cheapo insurance for you or anyone else
If that's the price then that's the price no such thing as cheap insurance companies, it's all relative to personal information you provide.
- Why doesn't car manufacturers provide their own car insurance? I always ask myself this question. Why doesn't the Ford, Chevrolet, Mercedes Benz, Toyota, Nissan, and more provide their own car insurance? It's doesn't make a lot of sense to leave the insurance duties to companies that knows little to nothing about cars. Plus, Insurance would be cheaper. Sick and tired of getting RIP off by the Geico, and State farms of the world. What do you people think?
- What is the cheapest way to make my 2002 Ford Taurus adaptable to an aux port? My car doesn't have an external cd unit. Would I have to restore in buying an aftermarket stereo adapter panel and then buy a stereo for it or is there just an option of getting a cable to fit in the existing panel somehow?
- If you have a car accident with a borrowed car, whose insurance are you covered by? Okay, my dad just totaled my grandma's 1999 Ford Taurus wagon. He was trying to turn and we hit a Nissan Frontier. The Nissan was fine, but the Ford is totaled, and my dad has never been in accident like this ever before. Does this go under my dad's insurance or my grandma's? She did give him the permission to drive it.
- Where's the best online site to buy a cheap, rebuilt (or low mileage) engine? I'm not looking for a hot rod crate engine, I just need a reputable online source to replace my engine that is no longer usable. 91 ford ranger xlt 2.3L
