My 02 ford Taurus will not accelerate or reverse?

It will crank, go in gear but will not move. I had a transmission flush in March. As far as I can tell, there was no indication that there was a problem.Other than the transmission, could there be another problem?

Is a 2008 Ford Taurus X a good first car?

I'm a 16 year old guy and I want a 2008 Ford Taurus X Limited AWD as my first car. I need AWD for snow. How reliable are they? Will it last? Does it have transmission problems?

Added (1). Taurus X. Not the little car. The SUV.

Added (2). I want the MDX but, it takes premium fuel and that costs too much.

Added (3). Outback doesn't have a third row seat.

What transmission did the 2008 Ford Taurus X have?

I'm thinking about buying a 2008 Ford Taurus X AWD as my first car. I'm curious what transmission it was built with because my mom has a 2005 Escape. Her Escape has Ford's CD4E automatic transmission. The transmission died last summer and it sat in the driveway for 6 months while she saved money to fix it. It cost $1000. I don't want to spend a ton of money to repair my transmission. What transmission did the Taurus X have?

Added (1). Is the 6F50 a good transmission? How often is the Taurus X AWD seen in transmission shops?

Added (2). Taurus X. It's the SUV/Crossover with the 3rd row seat. Not the sedan.

Added (3). I don't know much about the mechanics of cars.

What is the make/model of this car? Very poor photo?

I'm thinking that this is a early 2000s Ford Taurus judging from its front vent/grille and stock rims, or could it be something else.
Thanks, this was the getaway vehicle for a burglary attempt.

Here's the photo:

Why do I have to pay so much for insurance?

I'm 18, and I bought a car. A 1999 Ford Taurus. I'm only driving about 2 miles a day, to and from work. I have to Pay around 200 dollars a month for insurance. This infuriates me because my sister, who is 20 and is a terrible driver, is paying 100 dollars a month, and is driving around 20-30 miles a day. It doesn't seem fair. Is this price expected, or am I being ripped off?

How to correct an aftermarket air filter from causing improper air/fuel ratio and misfire?

I realize the gain from an aftermarket cone air filter is minimal at best, but I'd like to have one installed on my vehicle. I've had them on other cars and have never had a problem until now. I'm currently driving a 1999 Ford Taurus, 3.0 (VIN is U), Automatic Trans, etc.

I purchased the filter and the an adapter for the air flow sensor from my local autoparts store (I believe both are by Spectre).

The long story is that I removed the old housing and installed the new components. Started the car and it stuttered like crazy! I was really worried it was going to misfire or kick a piston. It sounded bad. I turned it off quick. Reinstalled the OEM parts. Restarted the car and, apart from a momentary smell of fuel, it ran fine.

So, in short, I assume the aftermarket filter is causing an improper mix of air/fuel.

Is there a solution(s) to correct this?
