My 02 ford Taurus will not accelerate or reverse?
It will crank, go in gear but will not move. I had a transmission flush in March. As far as I can tell, there was no indication that there was a problem.Other than the transmission, could there be another problem?
Thats a big problem, If I were you I would buy a newer car so you have less problems. Because the more you fix this car the more it will break down and cost you.
Broken drive axle could do it.
- My 2000 Ford Taurus won't shift from neutral to reverse or neutral to park? Its curently in neutral but the steering colum shifter will go down to drive or drive 2 and will go back to neutral, but then it stops so I can't back up or park the car.since it doesn't go into park, I can't even take the keys out of the ignition. - I have a 2000 Ford Taurus Sedan that has a screeching metal on metal sound when switching gears to reverse? And the sound is there the entire time you are backing up. Does this sound like a transmission issue? Also hearing a rubbing noise in the steering, and it is a little tight, any idea what that could be? Also heater blows, but not real strong and no heat comes out… Does that sound like a difficult and expensive fix? And could the heater or any of the above issues cause my engine light to light up solid continuously? The car runs pretty good aside from these issues.
