Cylinder misfire in my ford ranger?

I've had my truck (1998 ford ranger V6 3.0L) run very rough off and on for the past few months. During the time where it did run rough, it seemed to run rough when coming to a stop and a little less rough after accelerating for a few seconds. I specifically remember 3 times where it began running rough after making a slow turn. This running rough, would sound like the engine is running at a low RPM, and almost like something was loose in the engine causing it to run unbalanced, hence obviously making my truck shake with the engine. During these times, the check engine light wouldnt come up. This probably happened about 4-5 times. The last time it happened, the check engine light actually went on, and it came up on my obd2 reader as a cylander 1 misfire. I got my spark plug replaced, my coil pack replaced, and my fuel injectors replaced before the check engine light came on, so its likely not those, unless the mechanic did a bad job. Does anyone know what else can be possibly causing this? My mechanic told me my motor mount had 2 cracks in it, could this have anything to do with it? Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to help out!

Car battery putting out too much power?

So I have a 1991 Ford ranger. Up until today everything has been fine it has a rebuilt engine and a ton if new parts. The battery is an optima red top. The truck has a voltage meter but the person I bought it from put in a custom console that has a digital voltage display. Usually it reads around 12.5 volts sometimes more sometimes less. But today it's reading around 14.3 volts and the needle on the gauge moved up past what would be considered normal. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Traffic Violation CVC 22350 pacing my speed?

My speed was paced 56 in a 40 zone, however I looked at my speedometer during the zone for which I'm cited & it said about 40. There was no car behind me until further down the road in a 50 zone, which after some time following me, turned out to be a cop, who then flashed their lights behind me. I pulled over & he gave me a ticket for speeding in the 40 zone & said he "paced" me "at about 56". I told him my speedometer said 40 in that zone. He said I should have my dad look at it because if its off by 16mph… And kind of gave me a look.
But every time I ever passed one of those speed signs that tells you how fast you're going, my speedometer was always exactly matched.
We were also going uphill when he was behind me & the zone he claims i was being paced for was right after I had been stopped at a red light & behind one car who had made a right hand turn after the intersection.
I drive a 1988 Ford Ranger lol to get to such a speed in a short distance, up an incline, is about impossible without risking blowing the little truck up.
He came up behind me pretty quickly as we were going up the hill. After he pulled me over, he said that normally when a cop gets behind someone, they slow down.
First of all, I didn't know it was a cop- it was at night & all I saw were headlights.
Second, if someone comes flying up behind me, why would my instinct be to slow down?
Third, if I wasn't speeding, why would I be on the lookout for cops?
I have court today. Any helpful info? Any laws?

My 88 ford ranger has no break booster?

I'm a mechanic so I know what a mechanical and hydraulic brake booster looks like my ranger has neither the master cylinder is bolted directly to the fire wall I thought brake boosters have been a required safety feature sense the early 70's heck even my 69 maverick has a brake booster so I'm curious was this a factory option or did some cheapo decide they didn't need a booster. And another question if they did come stock with out a booster is it easy to install one so there's one.

97 ford ranger 2.3 5speed?

My truck has a very slow acceleration when I first take off I've replaced the wires and plugs mass airflow, air control valve, clutch, flywheel, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, slave cylinder any ideas on what could be causing this

Black Droplets On Outside of Car Tire Rim?

I keep getting small black fluid droplets on the outside of my rear, driver's side tire rim and the inside of the tire well. I don't see any wetness or stains at all on the inside of the tire and the associated metal pieces. The droplets are difficult to wash off and look like oil.

I'm thinking it might be grease getting really hot and getting flung out of the wheel hub cap, but I don't know for sure. My front tire doesn't have a cap and grease globs often get flung, but they don't dry like the material on my rear tire, it is very easy to wipe off. I took it to a mechanic who just glanced behind the tire and said nothing is leaking, it was just something I drove in. I don't think it's just something I drove in as it keeps coming back on the same tire after I get the spots cleaned off.

Anyone have any idea what this might be?

Added (1). the vehicle is a late 90s ford ranger

88 ford ranger. Idling at 1200-1500 RPMs and gets 12 MPG. What is wrong?

The only thing i have done to it was clean the intake with B12. I also used jb40 with that. Seems like sometime after that this happened. The truck runs great, its just idling high and its using alot of gas.
Some trobleshooting tips would be cool.
I don't want to go replacing a bunch of stuff i don't need too.
I appreciate your help.

I'm having issues with my 2001 Ford Ranger?

I recently drove to the store and got on the gas a good bit. After doing so, the O/D OFF light started flashing. I've had this issue before but this time my truck was refusing to move when I gave it gas. When I had it in drive it did almost nothing. I had to put it in first gear to go anywhere. It would barely move in reverse either so I had trouble getting out of my parking spot. I'm just wondering what exactly could the problem be here? As much as I hate to say it I'm sure it's something wrong with the transmission. Any other possibilities?

What's a good year to buy a used 4cyl Ford Ranger for around or less than $2000?

I'm in the market for a used ford ranger. I'm looking for the extended cab with a 4cyc engine. I've got less than $2000 to spend, my question is what's a good year to look for with that engine, and maybe some bad years to avoid? Btw, I live in los angeles, CA. So I'm not worried about rust, or it being to old, if it was maintained well is the main thing. I know at that price range I can't expect much.
