Should I invest in a car with AWD or 4x4?

So I live in southern Ohio and I have a very hectic schedule. I'm always on the go and no matter the weather i'm out driving in it. I have a 2010 Ford Focus that I've had for a while and it does fine except snow. I even bought snow tires and they help but because the car doesn't have good ground clearance anything over 4 inches is almost a nightmare trying to drive in. My delima is that it only snows like this 2 or 2 1/2 months of the year and a car like this would almost be pointless as id much rather have something fuel efficient (no matter how cheap gas is right now). Would you suggest something like a Toyota RAV4 hybrid?

Is it normal to feel a bumpy shift change for a few seconds in 4 cylinder 2012 ford focus?

Is it normal to feel a bumpy shift change for a few seconds in 4 cylinder 2012 ford focus?

Added (1). I just bought a 2012 ford focus certified pre owned got it inspected before I purchased it. The Carfax has regular maintenance its very clean. When I accelerate from a stop, I can feel the change of the gears shifting & its a bumpy feeling and hesitation for a few secs. Its pretty noticeable but it doesn't happen ever single time. Very often though I'm used to a v6 engine. It was always smooth and quick to get up to a high speed. Is this problem normal for a 4 cylinder or what?

Boyracer is it childish? I'm one and I like to drive fast?

I drive a 1.6 Ford Focus mk1 automatic 2004 zetec hatchback 3dr, petrol, it's good down the small streets like through the streets and town controls nicely around the bends, I don't like it on the motorway it's slow though around their, will a new powerful exghuast make it go faster? And an induction kit? Should I also lower it? My car is very old it's done 174,000 miles, every time I modify it feel as if am wasting money, am 19 and insurence cost me £1000 to renew this year, I don't know what to do? Should I leave all this modifying around? I watch them cars on fast and furious and pretend am one of them lol

I just bought a 2012 ford focus which was certified pre owned. I also got it inspected my Meineke before I purchased it. The Carfax has regular maintenance and its very clean. ONLY thing is when I accelerate from a stop, I can feel the change of the gears shifting. It a few seconds of gears changing. I'm used to a v6 engine and that is all I have ever driven. It was always smooth and quick to get up to a high speed. Is this problem normal for a 4 cylinder or what?

What are some upgrades I can make to my car?

I have a 2012 Ford Focus SEL hatchback. I really don't know much about cars and I'm wanting to make some upgrades, like performance and visual. I know a lot of people upgrade the exhaust system, is that something I should consider? Any ideas or good websites would be greatly appreciated.

Ford Focus - Do you know anyone who owns this Particular Ford Focus?

Do you know anyone who owns the 2011- Ford Focus 1.6 ti-vct (petrol) 105bhp version? I own this car and find that it's performance on hills is poor even allowing that it is 100kg heavier than the 1998-2004 Ford Focus. E.g. On a hill in 3rd gear with the engine at 1500-2000rpm it can struggle even when my foot is 3/4 down on the accelerator pedal. Has anyone else had this trouble or heard about it with this model?
