Is it normal to feel a bumpy shift change for a few seconds in 4 cylinder 2012 ford focus?
Added (1). I just bought a 2012 ford focus certified pre owned got it inspected before I purchased it. The Carfax has regular maintenance its very clean. When I accelerate from a stop, I can feel the change of the gears shifting & its a bumpy feeling and hesitation for a few secs. Its pretty noticeable but it doesn't happen ever single time. Very often though I'm used to a v6 engine. It was always smooth and quick to get up to a high speed. Is this problem normal for a 4 cylinder or what?
Those cars are plagued with such issues. I have not followed up on it but last I saw Ford was claiming it to be normal to some degree. I'm sure if you search the net there's lots of info and complaints. I'm not a transmission mechanic but as a mechanic of 25 years and driven just about everything I found the operation not acceptable and believe Ford saying it's normal is baloney.
- Why did some normal car models have so few made? I'm talking about like a normal car that would be sold to citizens. Like a ford or something. Where it's rare to see the car just because it didn't have that much models of it made?
- Bubbling/Gurgling sound a for a few seconds after car is shut off? Ok, so, I have a 2007 Ford Taurus SE. I just had to have the head gaskets replaced due to the engine overheating and blowing them, the car has been running fine since, but, now, any time I go 15 miles or more, and return home, for a few seconds after I shut off the car I can hear a Bubbling/Gurgling sound behind the glove box on the passenger side. I have read and some say it might be trapped air… Any ideas? Is this a serious problem?
- 1997 Ford Ranger 4.0 V6 won't shift into drive after being driven. Takes longer than should to shift into drive when first started? It will go in reverse fine. First thing in the morning when I leave for work, it will shift into drive on it's own, but takes a bit longer than it should. After getting it warm, won't shift into drive at all. I can shift down to 1st or 2nd, then back into drive and it will "pop up" into drive within a second or 2. I also have a ODB2 error P1744 (Torque Converter circuit).
- On my 2000 ford mustang why does my air pump (smog pump) only blow air for 5 seconds after start up? Is that normal? I have p0411 secondary air injection system insufficient flow detected. I've checked the hose that comes out from the pump, it's blowing air but I believe it should blow air for much longer than 5 seconds on start up.
