What and why does the wrench li h t come on?

2006 Ford Explorer 4.0 v6 engine.

The light comes on when you first turn on the engine it stays on for maybe 4 four minutes and then it turns off. The explorer runs good I haven't noticed any changes or anything wrong with it what can be causing this wrench li h t to come on?

Putting expensive performance parts on old cars?

First off I've had an old 1997 Ford Explorer and put s ton of money into it just to get it in reliable running condition then put more money into it to get it to go even faster and still got my A kicked by a lot of newer stock cars. I now own a 2011 V6 Challenger w/ SuperSport Package. My question is this. Having now driven both new and old cars. Why do people pour tons of money into older cars to make them go faster and be more powerful when they're going to lose to a lot of stock newer cars. I have beat a ton of old 90s cars that I could tell have performance parts. My Challenger is nearly stock.
I even have a friend that poured $8000 into a 90s Ford Windstar (minivan) and its barely pushing 350BHP and I beat him every single time. I just don't get the hype anymore of putting a ton of money into old cars.

How does gear shifting work on a 2002 Ford Explorer?

I'm buying one soon and I noticed that the gear handle is by the steering wheel instead of down by the glove compartment. The transmission is automatic, but I've never driven a car with the gear by the steering wheel. Do I pull it down to drive or to go in reverse? Can someone please explain how the shifting works? Sorry if it sounds dumb but I'm not used to it.

Am I overlooking any SUV's in the $60k range? I love the Chevy Tahoe and Toyota Sequoia?

Is there a big difference from the entry level Tahoe's and LTZ Tahoe's? I just love the size and way the vehicle feels. Feels like it could tow a house. Also, I like the Sequoia. I have long legs and want a big SUV. Sequoia does seem to have as much of view as my old Ford Explorer whereas Tahoe does. Ford Explorer was new when I got it and Transmission (enclosed) died at 40k so I never trusted it. Never was in an accident. Needs engine work now so gonna sell it. Is there another SUV I should be looking at?
