Generally if you turn on the heat, the car will heat up
Of course it is supposed to heat, it's inefficient if it runs cold. Now, if it OVERHEATS, then you have a problem, namely headgasket failure.

- Ford KA Thermostat housing issue? The above image is of the housing. Whilst removing the old housing, the bolt on the top left of the housing (in accordance with the photo) snapped. It's stuck in the engine. I was wondering what impact it would have if I did not remove and replace the broken bolt. i.e. Left that part of the housing unsecured when replacing it with the new one. Pretty urgent so a quick reply will get the best answer!

The thermostat is on the automatic choke control. I will appreciate greatly your technical support. Throtle body carburetor with throttle position sensor. And the thermostat is electric.
