The specs list the maximum towing capacity at 9200 pounds IF the trailer is equipped with brakes. What is the towing capacity for the XLT V8 pulling a trailer that does NOT have brakes?
Ok so i'm 18 looking to get a SUV, I'm trying to choose between a jeep GC or Ford explorer both limited I've found a jeep for 25k and a ford for same I don't tow a lot but when I do I would love to not have problems with towing. I currently drive a 2002 ford expedition xlt and one main reason I want the jeep is because it's still RWD vs the car based FWD Explorer (which is a big deal for me except when it comes to towing or luggage), I currently have 13k cash and still working would a bank loan me 7 more thousand? No credit but trying to work on that.
I currently live in a very hilly area that gets a fair amount of snow during the winter. Currently, I drive an '05 Ford Expedition. It's been absolutely wonderful for driving in the snow (even though fueling it up costs an arm and a leg), but it's at 153,000 miles now, and getting an additional 400 put on it every week. Eventually, I'll need to get another vehicle, and I have no idea where to even start in terms of price. Complicating it further was my recent realization that All-Wheel Drive does not necessarily translate to being good in snow (as a few of my Toyota and Lexus-driving classmates have told me).
What would be the best place to start for affordable (for a college kid) cars/SUVs/trucks that are good in the snow? New or used is irrelevant. Being powerful and/or sporty would be a bonus, but well below affordability and reliability in terms of priority.
Pressure is 40 on low side 200 on huge side
I have a 99 ford expedition… Turn the key and one loud clunk?
I'm looking at potential used vehicles. I have narrowed my search down to a Ford Expedition and an Infiniti QX56. Both have everything I'm looking for in a future car (fully loaded, seats 7-8 for my big family, safe). The Ford has 78k while the Infiniti has 101K. They are both basically the same price and one model year apart (ford being a 2010/Infiniti 2009). I'm just curious if more mileage necessarily means worse? They are (in my opinion) good, reputable vehicles that keep their value. I'm looking for something to drive for possibly the next 4 years. Should I just go with something with a little less mileage? My husband says mileage isn't always bad if they maintained it well. I just don't want my 2nd car purchase to be a dud!
