1998 ford expedition clicking noise from center console?

I have a 1998 ford expedition. There's a clicking noise coming from the console between the drivers seat and passengers seat. I thought it was the cd player i had installed in it. But i unplug that and it still does it. I notice last winter when the rear climate control was turned on it started doing this. And now when i set the rear blower to low it doesn't sound as loud. Is there a fuse or something that can be taken out and if so which one is it? Or any ideas what has to be done?

2003 Ford Expedition burning a lot of oil?

I have a 2003 Ford Expedition XLT with a 4.6 Triton engine with 191K miles. I noticed around 175K miles that I was losing about a quart of oil per 1K miles, sometimes losing more oil. There's no evidence of a leak anytime I park, even overnight. I notice gray smoke sometimes out of the tailpipe upon starting, but not every time. I do not notice any smoke upon acceleration. Ford specs for this vehicle call for 5W-20 oil, which I have used since I bought this truck when it had 47K miles on it. Oil and filter changes every 3K miles. PVC valve was recently changed when I noticed the issue. I'm not sure what brand the PVC valve is, but I purchased from the Ford dealership. I recently went up to Quaker State Defy 10W-30 with no improvement. Any suggestions of what I can do? Would it hurt anything to put a higher weight oil in? If so, what is the max weight I should use?

Best SUV for a real gangster?

No I don't need a new SUV that looks gangster.

I'm just wondering what is the best SUV for somebody who's a real a gangster, who sells drugs, does gangster stuff, you know. I'm asking out of curiosity.

Escalade, BMW and Mercedes SUVs are overused. And too flashy, you'll draw too much attention to yourself. A black Suburban, or Ford Expedition makes much more sense for gangster work. Or maybe a Volvo XC90, that's also a lot of car but yet doesn't draw too much attention. Perhaps a Audi Q7, that's borderline gangster I guess.

What do you think?

Chevy Trailblazer or Ford Expedition?

I'm looking at buying one of these cars 1 is a Chevy Trailblazer 2003 152000 miles on it, the other one is a 2001 Ford Expedition with 180,000 miles on it both with DVD players both with 3 rows… I would like some advice on anybody who has had either one of these cars what to expect in which one do you think I should go for the Ford Expedition is going to be 5500 and the Chevy Trailblazer is 7000

Ford expedition 2006 transmission problem?

I own a garage, and I got stuck in this thing really annoying!
Car had a problem in the 2nd shift, trans was overhauled and all parts where changed, also the valve body, solenoid pack and all.
the problem in details is, in second and fifth gear, the car when driven normaly on a stable speed shifts normally and smoothly. But when there's a kickdown the second gear get stuck and rpm goes high then I get the transmission symbol on the cluster, that's where I turn off the car and back on to test drive it again, I face the same problem then I press the gas then release to get lower or higher shiftings. Something weird I found while transmission was in rebuilt process is the band it was burned, … But what may cause this problem, is it the servo or is it a leak in the container/gear container, or perhaps piston or governor driven somehow its not pressuring well,?!

Please i'm stuck in this I have observed everything closely, what am I missing there, Please advice and help me!

Transmission problems. Is it worth the fix?

Okay so I have a 1997 Ford Expedition and today it started to not shift gears like I will be going 30 mph and I would literately step on the gas and it will still be going the same speed and the rpm rose and it reved and everything. I hoped it was something like my o2 censors or the spark plugs but I got my personal mechanic to check it out and the sad truth is that the transmission is totally messed up. Now I'm at the point where I'm asking myself "what do I do?" I've crashed this truck before and I've probably already put in about $1500+. I'm thinking about just junking it and getting about $500. Or I could fix it which is to get another transmission from a junkyard and the lowest it would be just for the part itself would be $300 plus the labor I will have to pay for by my mechanic which is another $300. Another option is that I sell it to a mechanic who knows how to fix it. I would sell it for $1000 and he would have to fix it. Basically he would be paying $1500 for an SUV. I'm just so unsure at this point. I have no money so if I do sell it then whatever I get is what I have to work with and I would probably have to wait a few checks until I had enough for a down payment or even a used car.
