I have a 94 ford ranger 4 cylinder that turns over but will not start?
I have a 4x4 1988 2.3 five speed Ford Ranger. When I engage the manual locking hubs (but even when truck is still in 2wd) There's a distinct rattle felt when going at higher speeds like over 45 MPH. But it is not present when hubs are not locked, or when going slower. Bad U-joints? Any Ideas?
I had my mechanic fix my slave cylinder 3 weeks ago and since then my truck has been surging, sputtering, and coughing. He says I just picked up bad gas but I have run the gas out, I have put seafoam in it, gas cleaner, and injector cleaner in it, and the issue has not been fixed. I also changed the spark plugs and wires to be sure it wasn't them, Sometimes I can put gas in it and it will act better or sometimes when I put gas in it, it acts worse. Somedays I can drive it all day without it acting up. Really tired of the surging and I don't think its just bad gas its been 3 weeks already. Help please. This all started after they changed the slave cylinder on my 97 Ford Ranger 2.3L
Which flowmaster exahust system would best fit my truck i have a 1999 ford ranger?
So i had it in standard 2wd and was pulling into the driveway just using idle and not actually accelerating and my left rear tire came on an ice patch and started spinning kinda fast. I accelerated and just the left wheel was spinning but i wasn't moving. I had to put it in 4wd in order to move forward. So my question is if i was in 2wd and it is a rear wheel drive truck than why wasn't the right rear wheel moving at all?
I know this has something to do with types of differentials but i'm ignorant about this stuff.
I thought both rear tires where pushing the truck when it is in 2wd.
Also, if i put it in 4x4 does that mean that all 4 tires are pushing the truck?
If someone can explain how all this works in very layman's terms i would appreciate it.
I was hoping I could get some help on this since I haven't been able to find anything that closely regarded my situation. I have a 1999 Ford Ranger 3.0L 6cyl flexfuel manual and have recently noticed a loud chirp-like noise that's produced only when I'm shifting while accelerating. I don't think it's the camshaft synchronizer because the noise only comes once after or during an upshift.
The sound kind of sounds like air is escaping (?) but it also sounds like a chirp. The check engine light has not come on. Hope someone can help me figure this out.
Can you put a 6 cylinder engine in a Ford F100 ranger?
Ok so i filled my overflow tank a bit too much and i guess i didn't put the cap on all the way. I drove home from work and popped the hood to check coolant levels and too my surprise, the entire engine bay was covered. A few days went by and now my truck makes a terrible screeching noise while turning. (Just the smallest movement from my wheel makes the noise) there's also a bad screech when going over bumps or hitting potholes.
I was thinking, maybe the antifreeze ate away at the oil that makes it run smooth but some of the sound sounds like its under the car and not just under the hood.
I drive a 99 ford ranger. Does anyone know what the issue could be? I'd like to figure it out now before the snow comes.
Have a 1994 ranger that the blower motor will stop every couple of days, give it good whack and it starts again, I took it apart and cleaned it and tested all the connections but it still does the same. Wondering what years it was the same. Looking online found one for 95-97 that has 2 different oem part numbers. One is the same as 1994 and one is different by one number and one letter on the end. (on starts f5… B the other f4… A) I think it should fit but wanted to make sure before ordering.
