I have just a fuel pump replaced for my 2003 Ford Focus at Javis which is a big Ford dealer in South Australia. They wanted to change me AUD1150. I refused to pay the price and found bought the part by myself but they still changed me 4 hours labor which is AUD396 ( after discount). Does it need to take four hours to change a fuel pump? For my previous experiences, Javis normally quote the price for the parts much expensive.

I've lost my car key to a 2003 ford focus. The key wouldn't need to be programmed (I don't think) because it doesn't have the lock / unlock buttons. (I have a separate thing for that.) how much will it be to replace it? I won't have a key for them to copy, just creating it based on my VIN #, make and model.

My mom is currently letting me borrow her car for work and I could always get a loan to buy a car from my grandparents (they are actually pretty wealthy). What would you recommend I do? I mean I could easily go and finance a new car right now my credit is good and I bring home over 3k a month. I'm just trying to be cheap.

I need other ways that arent to hard to do, or exspensive. I don't want to make my car look dumb, so don't say "add a cool loud exhaust and a spoiler." i'm not trying to make a not fast car, totally fast. Just boost the performance.So please, i'm looking for simple things i can do. The injen air intake was 270$ and is said to add 10 HP and boost fuel economy. PICKING BEST ANSWER FOR 10 POINTS.

So I drive a 2014 Ford Focus. It's a 6 speed automatic transmission. I hate the transmission but I've learned to live with its quirks because the car is almost paid off. Lately I've noticed when I need to quickly manouver in traffic I press the accelerator harder and the car downshifts and my rpms shoot way high near the red line. Like I don't drive crazy or anything but in general driving sometimes you need to move quickly so why would my engine not shift properly. Like if it was a manual I'd never let it get that high before shifting. I have 54 thousand miles on this car, had a oil leak repaired by ford recently, and transmission parts replaced by ford last summer.
