Why would people buy a Toyota Camry when they can buy a cheaper but better Ford Focus?
Why would people buy a Toyota Camry when they can buy a cheaper but better Ford Focus? - 1
People that have had a bad experience with a previous Ford, for one.
To each their own
Just how dumb are you?
Funny you would ask since? I have a household with both a Camry and a we used to have a Focus. First off, the Ford Focus is a S**tbox. They've been making the current design since 2011 and Ford still hasn't resolved the Powershift transmission problems. That's the current model, and older ones had 21 recalls in the first three years alone…21! Toyota Camry is in a completely different class. The Focus is in the same class as the Corolla; Not the Camry. The Camry is a bigger car and it is much better built than a Ford Focus. How do I know? My wife owned a 2015 Focus. Go to any dealership service department and see how many are there with transmission issues. Better yet, ask owners. I'm sure that the majority will tell you not to buy one. My neighbor has a 2017 and he works for a Ford Dealership. He told me that their service techs said that you'll likely start having issues around 30-40, 000 miles. A Camry? My 1999 Camry has been bulletproof with close to 216K miles on it. I've serviced some of these with close to half a million miles and they were still going strong. Make sure you get your facts straight before making such a comparison.
Camry is in a larger size class, so the two cars don't strictly compete.
What year Camry beat your Ford at street racing?
The ford focus has serious transmission issues that Ford can't seem to fix. Also there are driveability problems due to hesitation and bucking and surging. Lookit: http://www.carcomplaints.com/Ford/Focus/2014/transmission/bad_hesitation_jerking_when_starting_from_a_stop_position.shtml
LOL, enjoy your Ford.
Lets see, start your question with two false premises.
The Camry and Focus are NOT similar cars. The Camry is a significantly larger vehicle.
The Focus is NOT a "Better" car by pretty much any measure.
OK, maybe it's cheaper, but then you know the saying, you get what you pay for.
Please, stay far, far away from anything that requires common sense
- Why do Presidents live so long? Do they get better healthcare than normal people? Jimmy Carter is 94 and still alive, George H.W. Bush died at 94, Gerald Ford died at 93, Ronald Raegan lived to 93. How come they live so long? Most normal people die at like 80-85, sometimes late 70s. So why are they living so long? Obama will probably make it to 100.
- Why would people buy a Toyota Hilux when they can buy a better, superior Ford Ranger? I owned a 2010 Toyota Camry and it broke down in 2011 upon reaching 0.6k miles. I treated it like a baby and it failed and disappointed me. My friend also owned a 2008 Toyota Tacoma and it failed to start in 2009 upon reaching 8k miles. And the mechanic said it was impossible to fix. However, my uncle has a 1965 Ford Falcon with over 750k miles on its clock and it still runs like new and he never even changed its oil since he bought it.
- Why would people buy a Toyota Hilux when they can buy a better, Chevrolet Colorado? Or even better and superior, Ford Ranger. My cousin is going to buy a pick-up truck next month and it would be a Toyota Hilux. How do I convince him that the Hilux is not reliable?
- Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, or Toyota Camry? I'm deciding between the ford fusion, Toyota Camry and Honda accord (all 2014). This might sound lame, but which car is 'cooler.' They're all similar in price and efficient for what I'm looking for. I don't really know much about cars so I'm afraid ill buy a grandma-like car.
