How to tell if the engine has been bullet proofed?

I want a 2003 Ford Excusion with the PowerStroke diesel. I read that when they are in the range of 150,000-200,000 miles, that they break and require about $10,000-$12,000 in engine repairs. How can I tell just by looking at a picture? I'm currently looking online.

Added (1). I live in the North and I wanted to buy one in Florida.

Added (2). So the 7.3L is the best? What's the actual city fuel economy.

Is this considered a hit and run?

Today i went to court with my Boyfriend And out of nowhere a cop was behind me with his lights on and there was a car infront me me driving very slow so i looked at my left mirror and no one was seen (maybe i didn't look all the way beside me) so I moved over to my left lane thinking the cop was stopping me and a ford truck F-150 was righ there beside me! Well kind of but i didn't hear our cars hitting at all i didn't have my radio on And my boyfriend didn't feel a hit or nothing but all we heared was the tires of the ford like braking hard. So i kept driving and the cop seen but didn't stop at all the ford ended like on the side road i'm guessing a little on the grass not much. Thing is we didn't feel a bump or hit or anything. Few miles down we stopped and notices nothing wrong with our car it still looked the same and just had the same white pain chip *** usual so we kept driving. I'm really worried there was no damage the fors kept driving and exited off the freeway minutes after! Can anyone help me on this please

Could my ford lift kit go onto my GMC?

So recently my F150 2wd's engine froze. (Cylinders broke or something but it's un fixable) So I purchased a 2002 GMC Sierra z71. I was wondering if I could take my 3 inch lift kit or leveling kit what ever and put it on my GMC. Is this possible

08 F150 Line In bypassed by Satellite Radio? How do I get my Line In to work?

Ok so heres the problem, I have a 08 Ford F150 xlt and ever since I've had it, the line in input hasn't worked, every time I press the aux button on the radio it goes to satellite radio which I don't want, it never even shows the option of a auxiliary line in, just all satellite radio. I've popped out the radio to see if maybe the line in is disconnected from the radio to make room for the satellite radio box thing, but the cable from the input just meets up with the passenger airbag light and disappears into a bunch of cables which I don't where they go. I don't know if its the satellite radio or the aux input that is making this mess. I don't think the satellite radio is aftermarket either because the label on the satellite box has ford markings on it, how do i get my aux input to work again?
