I went to a car lot that I have done business with since 2005. I traded my 2000 Ford F150 for a 2001 Ford Explorer. Two weeks after a traded, my car broke down. I called the man I always work with and he came and got my car to fix it. I have been unable to pay for the part as of yet. Can he keep my car?
Ok so i'm tryin to prove alot of people wrong i'm not looking for arguments right now i'm looking for some help so please i'm begging… I'm trying to build a 1998 chevy k1500 z71… Into something fuel efficient(yes crazy I know)… Oits a dd truck used regularly for hauling… Well i'm doing the exhaust suspension axles i'm sealing up alot of stuff for aerodynamics and what i'm trying to find is some forced induction units that I can put in without modifying the engine… And the only thing I can think of is those turbos on the ford ecoboosts… The tuning will be taken care of and yes the mods to make them actually go on will be taken care of but a question… Where can I buy the setup for the little ones that go on the f-150 ecoboost the whole setup as in the manifolds intercooler tubing everything… Then does anyone know where to find some good long tube headers for a chevy 5.7 vortec? Yes I know i'm crazy i'm stupid and if it doesn't work its my fault but i wanna try… So if someone could please help me out with links brands sales companies ect it would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 1979 ford f150 i got a 351w fuel injected engine witch i want to swap in. The truck now has a 302 with carb so i wanted to crow what i would have to change? Will i just have to do the wiring?
Our F-150 ignition switch turns but has no resistance when it should as the starter should engage? Does anyone have an idea what is wrong with this truck? Nothing at all happens when you turn the switch.Battery is new and good.
It has 240, xxx miles and all it needs is a map sensor. But the guy want $1600 for it. Everything else works and the truck is in good condition.
I have a 1997 ford f150 and want to fix it up. I don't know a whole lot about engines and cars but I want to put in a new exhaust system and cold air intake. (Everything is stock) Other than that i don't know what to do to get more power and make it faster.
Put the key in ignition, lights come on, truck won't start. Just a buzzing sound from steering column area, not engine. Checked battery… Fine. Replaced ignition switch. Replaced starter relay. Still won't start when i turn the key… BUT… It will start if i use a jumper wire from positive battery terminal to exposed terminal on relay (removed push on connector - signal wire from the ignition switch).
What could be the problem?
We have checked the cluster in another truck and it works properly. We have checked all the fuses and they are okay. And we have replaced the speed sensor on the rear and thats good too. Our F150 has an E40D transmission so there isn't a transmission speed sensor, Please help thanks
Let me start by saying i wasn't there. This is second hand from my husband.
Leaving from work he got in the truck, key in ignition, instrument lights came on but truck won't start. Says it's just making a buzzing sound. Found negative cable on battery to be loose. Tightened it but still won't start, just buzzing. Tried to jump it. Nothing. However it would start when they pushed it. He's driving home now.
What could be the problem? My husband is a plumber, not a mechanic, we know very little about cars/trucks.
If I was in the market for a new pickup truck, what would be the best option as far as most american made? My initial thoughts were obviously Ford, Chevy, Gmc, and dodge. But aren't gmc and chevy trucks made in Mexico or Canada? Where are f150's manufactured? Is it true that Toyota trucks are manufactured in America? The more American made the truck is, the better
