08 F150 Line In bypassed by Satellite Radio? How do I get my Line In to work?
Ok so heres the problem, I have a 08 Ford F150 xlt and ever since I've had it, the line in input hasn't worked, every time I press the aux button on the radio it goes to satellite radio which I don't want, it never even shows the option of a auxiliary line in, just all satellite radio. I've popped out the radio to see if maybe the line in is disconnected from the radio to make room for the satellite radio box thing, but the cable from the input just meets up with the passenger airbag light and disappears into a bunch of cables which I don't where they go. I don't know if its the satellite radio or the aux input that is making this mess. I don't think the satellite radio is aftermarket either because the label on the satellite box has ford markings on it, how do i get my aux input to work again?
Have you tried plugging a cable into the jack? Most OEM auxiliary inputs can detect if there's a cable plugged in, and won't allow the auxiliary source to be selected if nothing's connected. You might have to press the AUX button twice--once for satellite radio, and a second time for the input jack.
That's just the way they set it up to work at the factory. You don't have a "Line In".

- 2001 Ford Taurus 3.0L SES flex fuel a/c bypassed by serpentine belt? I got a diagram from my mechanic in town for bypassing a/c pulley with a shorter serpentine belt but the back of the belt seems to be rubbing just slightly on the a/c pulley as it goes around. Is there any way of getting to the a/c pulley to remove it from the bottom of the car instead of having to remove all of the pulleys?
