2001 Ford Taurus 3.0L SES flex fuel a/c bypassed by serpentine belt?

I got a diagram from my mechanic in town for bypassing a/c pulley with a shorter serpentine belt but the back of the belt seems to be rubbing just slightly on the a/c pulley as it goes around. Is there any way of getting to the a/c pulley to remove it from the bottom of the car instead of having to remove all of the pulleys?

There's a kit available at your auto parts store that supplys a bracket with pulley that goes in place of your ac compressor so you can use the original belt. Scrapper
