Which Jeep is the Jeep for me?

I'm 19 years old, and looking to get my own car. I drive a ford explorer sport right now, but it's not taking my daily, full-time commute to college very well so I'm really looking to get a jeep. I like bigger, SUVs and I really don't want a small car. I'm going to look to get financed, and pay a monthly rate, as long as pay the insurance by myself. I know it's hard, but I need to become an adult sometime, right? But anyways, guys, I'm looking to get a Jeep but I can't decide between a Grand Cherokee Laredo, a Patriot, a Commander or a Liberty Sport. I'm looking to stay at 2010 as the max year. If anyone has any of these cars, what are the pros and cons?!

My 1993 ford explorer us acting up after I drove thru deep water?

I was driving my truck thru some deep water yesterday and then I parked it for a while. I got in to drive it and it started to sputter and pop luke it's out of gas and which it was not. I made it home. Truck Was blowing while smoke and being very lowd. The trans acted like it was slipping would not accelerate and vibrating a lot. The truck would cut off or not start. I was trying to blow what ever it was out by getting on a long strip a flow it it seemed to work but not long. I was going home when the trans would not go into any gear and had a trans fluid leake. I had it towed home and I don't know what's wrong with her

Is a 2000/2001 ford explorer with 250,000 miles on it bad?

Looking at a ford explorer honestly know absolutely nothing about it other than it has at least 250,000 miles on it supposedly highway and interior is a bit messed up. I haven't seen it yet but my boyfriend agreed that we wanted it already. We have kids and wanna make sure we will actually get some use out of it and it is worth paying $1000
