My 1996 Ford Explorer will not start. SOMETIMES?

There's no telling when my explorer wants to start. Usually once a week it just will not start, it will crank and crank but just won't start. I don't understand it. Then sometimes 10 minutes later sometimes 4 hours later it will start right up. It is driving me nuts and i don't want to pay a shop to fix the problem if it's simple.

PROBLEM Check engine light 92 ford explorer?

I'm having a problem with my off roader. The problem is when my check engine is that when the check engine light is on it brings up code for mas air flow sensor voltage is low. And code 998 hard fault. With key on engine runing. NOW FOR THE KICKER! I'll drive my explorer and the check engine light will go off and every thing gets bad messed up! The engine sounds like it's runing on 3 cylinders, has a hard time revving up, and runs half rpm's, and has trouble staying started. What would that be? Also my voltage is almost past normal like around 16 volts My guesses are it has a bad computer/PCM. Any help will be appreciated.

Give me the names of some SUV's with a lot of leg room?

I'm looking to buy a used SUV for my Mom at the moment but I will drive it within 2 years so I need it to have A LOT of leg room. I'm 18 years old but I'm 7'0" 285 lbs. So leg room is vital and also space between the steering wheel and the door. I can't even close the door in some cars. I can't afford to have a car custom made or even altered for that matter.

I'm looking for something in the early 2000's or so, and I'm willing to spend about $5-6,000.

I found a Ford Explorer on Craigslist and it was a 2005 for $4500. How are Ford explorers with leg room?

2002 ford explorer spoiler removal?

So I have a 2002 ford explorer and it has a stupid freaking spoiler looking thing (I believe it's supposed to make air pass over the rear window to keep the window clear) on the top of the tailgate. So I'm just wondering if anyone would know (A) How to remove it? Or (B) where the heck to go to get it removed? I live in Salt Lake City Utah.

Decrease in gas mileage/Rough driving since spark plug replacement?

Recently, I changed the spark plugs in my 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. It currently has 202k miles. I first began replacing them about a month ago, and due to some trouble during the process, I was only able to change 3 plugs. After 3 had been replaced, the truck was riding much smoother, and I saw quite an improvement in gas mileage. I changed the other 3 last weekend, and since I've lost MPG, and it isn't driving near as smoothly. The plugs I put in are Bosch Double Platinum. I checked to make sure all the plugs are firing, and they are. Does anyone know what might be the cause for this? Should I try a different brand of plugs? If so, what kind? One other thing. Since I changed the first three, I've been hearing a tickig noise coming from the driver's side of the engine. It gets louder only when I accelerate. All the plug wires are fine.

How much will I spend in fuel?

I'm 16 and I'm thinking about buying a 1999 Ford Explorer XLT as my first car. I'm also thinking about going to college 3 hours away. I will have to make occasional trips home for breaks. I'm just curious how much I'll spend on gas. How often will I have to stop to get gas? I don't want to find a different car. I'm paying for the car and gas myself.
