99 ford ranger clicks once, but won't start what could be wrong?

The truck was running fine, but the day before yesterday it wouldn't start. All the lights and stereo come on so its not the battery. When you turn the key it clicks once but doesn't start. All the plugs are new and the belts, and the transmission is new too.

My 2000 Ford Ranger 4X4 randomly quit running?

It only has 101k miles. It ran great before, but now it just quit and won't even start. Anyone know what this could be? I don't really have the money to take it to the shop right now.

Dealership seems to have sold me a lemon! Is there anything that can be done?

Last March, I bought a brand-new 2013 Jeep patriot, this was a North sport model, so very basic. However I told the sales person that I needed a car I could take on road trips as I have a cabin in 100 Mile House. They recommended the patriot.

I've had it In 4 times was for a transmission problem. Originally my jeep was giving me a "bump stop" when coming to a full stop. To the point where it felt as though I had been rear ended! They've repaired it so that it is less, but not 100% better.

I took my car up to my cabin for the first time here. It's a 5.5 hour drive and it was terrifying! The whole way there my car would nearly redline! As soon as I would be going up a hill, trying to maintain the speed limit it would approach 6000 RPM! This road is just like any other public hwy! Between 2 to 4 well paved lanes the whole way - with some incline. I have taken a honda civic, ford ranger, and sunfire in this route with zero difficulty!

Needless to say, back to the service department! They said it's because my model of jeep has a CVT Transmission and is "not designed to be taken on roads such as the Caribou Hwy or Coquihalla"! I can't believe it! The reason I bought a jeep was so I could go places! I think this is something ridiculous and at the very least, should have been disclosed to me before the sale! I'm in shock, and am now stuck with a car that I can't take out of the city! The dealership is being no help! Any advice on what I should do?

Stereo for Ford Ranger Stopped Working?

I have a 1996 Ford Ranger and I recentley bought 4 Pioneer speakers (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A0LYAU0/ and a Pioneer stereo (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00EEO4WD4/ for my truck (I don't know anything about speakers). I didn't buy an amp or anything extra. It was working good for a couple of days, i wasn't playing the music too loud or anything, and all of a sudden while driving down the freeway, the sound just stopped. I tried everything I could like switching the source and i even wiggled the wires around and nothing works. I also connected my stock radio back in and it works just fine so I know its something with my new stereo.

Ford Ranger mechanic please adivise?

I have asked this question before but got unsatisfactory answers.

I have a 2008 Ranger with a Mazda engine and want to replace the spark plugs as routine maintenance. There looks to be an electrical distributor with four spark plug wires that go to the top of intake manifold but when I pull off the spark plug wires there are only empty holes. Where are those spark plugs hiding?

When I asked this question some months ago the responders said they are on the side of the engine but there are not spark plugs or spark plug wires on the side of the engine.

92 Ford Ranger XLT: How to remove alternator?

I have removed alternators before but I have found that this one is in an awkward position on my truck.
The Alternator is about halfway down the left side of the engine instead of up high. I have removed the first bolt on the top but the others are blocked by a steal bar about one inch from the bolts. Even if I was to loosen them there's no room to remove them. I have looked to see if it was mounted on a hinge but it appears to be solid. I have looked for videos and forums with no help besides. "Just unbolt it and pull it out". I really need to get this truck working as it has just become my only vehicle. Thank you.
BTW. The engine is covered in rust because the radiator burst. That was only the 5th problem with this POS nightmare.92 Ford Ranger XLT: How to remove alternator
