1989 Ford Ranger 2.3L 4 Cylinder Check Engine Light

I have a 89 Ford Ranger and I've been having problems with getting it to run smooth. The idle is rough and it's weak on power and speed. I have replaced the O2 sensor, MAP sensor, both coil packs, and crank position sensor. It still runs rough and the driver side coil is not firing to the plugs. The plugs and wires are all good. I've checked all the connects and wiring I could and still no fix. Autozone and O'Riellys said they can't check it with a code reader because it's pre 1996. If anyone has had this problem or can help me fix it I'll give 10 points! I don't want to have to go spend more money on sensors I don't need. Any help appreciated.

What common problems do Ford Rangers have?

I'm looking into buying a used Ford Ranger (2000 or newer) but I've heard that certain years have head gasket, clutch and transmission problems. I've read 2002 Rangers are known for warped head gaskets. Any other years I should avoid?

What does a dream with a long haired white stag symbolize?

I had a dream that I was driving in my black Ford Ranger on a country road on the side of a small mountain. There was a traffic jam on the curve ahead (the curve went to the right). I looked down to my left and there were hundreds of Whitetail Deer in the pasture below (there were some nice sized bucks). So I shut off the truck, walked around the front and over to the passenger side of the bed. There was a tarp covering the bed of the truck. I reached under the tarp and grabbed my rifle. As I started to pull out the gun I looked over my right shoulder and a HUGE buck was standing right beside me and the way he looked at me told me that's not what this dream was for. He nudged me toward a small clearing on the right side of the road about 25 feet behind me. I walked over to it and saw a small path where the trees were arched, kind of like a doorway. Out walked this white stag with a longer than normal coat. He had huge antlers and dark brown eyes. By looking at him you could tell he was ancient but very gentle. He walked over to me and laid down like he was just relaxing. I reached out to touch his coat and woke up.
Does anyone know what this means? I had this dream a while back and can't shake it.

96 Ford Ranger clutch pedal?

From time to time when I get into truck the clutch pedal won't go down. It hasn't happened while driving. After a little time it's back to normal. The truck did sit for a year, could this have anything to do with it? I'm not sure if I should be driving the truck or not. Insight please.

1988 Ford Ranger spins but won't starrt?

Bought a Ford Ranger that was not running. When I looked at it originally saw that there was no spark coming from starter coil ( tested with inline light tester). Have replaced the battery, starter coil, the ignition modual, EMC box(computer), and EEC Relay. Fuel pump is not turning on either. Can't help but think there's some kind of safety cut off switch or something preventing the whole system from starting up. Checked the inertia switch and it was good, jumped it out just in case. Now when I crank it I get one spark and then nothing. Motor spins freely. Anyone have a direction I should go from here?

I just bought a 1990 Ford Ranger and it is doing something weird?

As stated in the title I bought a 1990 Ford Ranger today and it had recently gotten some parts replaced including: Fly Wheel, Starter, tires and some others. But the problem is, when I'm stop and accelerate the whole truck shakes and jiggles and I'm not exactly sure what it is? Any comments help.
It's a Ford Ranger 1990 Automatic 4wd.

Added (1). Also, I'm not sure if this is normal on these old of cars but when on the freeway going about 65 that's red lining it.

2004 Ford Ranger fuel pump inertia switch faulty?

I deliver a rural mail route in my truck, so I'm doing a lot of getting out and have to kill the engine when I do. Four times today when I killed the engine and got back in, it wouldn't start. Sounds like its not getting fuel. On each occasion I pushed the reset button and tried to start it. It would take a few tries but it eventually started each time. My fuel pump is new so I doubt that's it, is the inertia switch the likely culprit? Ford dealer wants $140something for the switch, I don't want to waste money if that's not the issue, but seems to me like that's gotta be it. Your thoughts?
