My 2000 Ford Ranger 4X4 randomly quit running?
It only has 101k miles. It ran great before, but now it just quit and won't even start. Anyone know what this could be? I don't really have the money to take it to the shop right now.
First check to be sure the fuel pump is okay. In a quiet location turn the key to the run position (do not start it), listen for the "purr" of the pump for a few seconds. That will confirm the pump has power After that, try these three things before you do anything else. First change the fuel filter if it hasn't been done in awhile. Using a spray can of carb cleaner remove and clean the IAC and while its accessible use the same can to clean out the throttle body. All three fixes shouldn't cost more than $20 and will cure a lot of problems that result in symptoms such as yours.
Could be the dead battery. A bad starter. The alternator is broke. It could be many things.

- 2000 ford ranger 3.0 4x4 oil pan gasket replacement? What's it take to change? Step by step guide would be helpful. Personal tricks of the trade. What specific tools I need. Can I drop the pan enough to clean off old gasket and slide new one in? Evening day or all day or weekend project.
- 1993-2000 model Ford Ranger 4x4? Is this a good first truck? Are they reliable? Will be doing a lot of Mudding, off-roading, and every now and then hauling a couple things, not major stuff though. Please answer. If not a good truck, suggest a good truck within these year models.

It's got a new PCM that has been flashed or whatever from a ford dealership, keys have been programmed, new plugs and wires, new coil packs, new battery, new battery connectors, used CCRM, new intake manifold, new fuel pump with fuel pump assembly, and a new fuel filter
- I have a 1990 Ford Mustang gt the dashlights quit working and the taillights now do not work? What do I need to do to fix this, or has anyone else had this problem? I checked the fuses and it is not that.
