I started replacing the alternator on my 68 ford galaxie xl, but when I was pulling the old on off, the metal connector of one of the wires from the external voltage regulator was so rusted it just snapped clean off. Will I be able to replace just that one wire? The previous owner bundled all the wires together with electrical tape and I haven't cut it apart yet to investigate where the wire goes.
I really don't want to have to hire someone to rewire the whole car. Basically I'm just feeling a bit in over my head and would really appreciate some advice on how to move forward.

I have a 1978 Ford Ranchero and there's a ticking noise coming from the passenger side In engine. And this car was given to me and I had my camshaft, timing chain set, and all 16 lifters changed what can this noise be? Could it be from a bad rocker arm? And what can I do to quiet this noise. I'm broke so I can't do any further expensive repairs
I have a 1972 Ford thunderbird and I feel like it may have a starter relay as well as a starter solenoid. On the starter motor there's a starter solenoid. I know that for sure. On the fender of the car appears to have something that resembles a starter relay. I've heard some people tell me that they can't have both but is it possible that it could be that?
Does a canopy on a run-down '77 Ford F100 cause more drag thus making it even less fuel-efficient?
