Can I join the Army if I had a head injury when I was the age of 4?

When I was 4 years old, my family and I were involved in a head on collision in our 1972 Ford Pinto which left me with a head injury. I have no symptoms and I have been very athletic and active. I'm now 31 and am eager to join the Army. I do not have any headaches outside of the norm for anyone and no treatments have ever been needed. Will this be grounds for automatic denial from enlistment or will I be able to pursue this dream?

Trying to replace an alternator on a 2007 Lexus IS350?

I've replaced alternators before, on Fords and older trucks, but I can't figure out how to break this one loose. I know I'm likely missing a bolt somewhere but I haven't been able to find a diagram to see what I'm supposed to be doing. I've removed the plastic shrouds and have been able to remove the serpentine belt without an issue, and removed the visible bolts that appear to be holding it in, but I'm not even able to wiggle it at all. Any help with a diagram or if anyone with some experience with an IS350 can help, I'd be in your debt. I'd rather not dump $1200 into an alternator repair if I don't have to.

Why does my van vibrate over 20mph?

I have a 2000 Ford E-150 with 178k miles. I'm the second owner and have always done regular maintenance. It vibrates when driving over 20mph. I feel it mainly in the front end and I occasionally hear a knocking sound coming from the undercarriage (at least one knock every 30 seconds). I've changed the wheel bearings and have balanced/rotated the tires. They have plenty of tread left (bought em last fall) and there's no sign of uneven wear. I like to do things myself, but I'd like to know what my next step should be? What would be the causes of vibration over 20mph?

Is my insurance company screwing me over?

I was in a car accident about two weeks ago ( it was a hit and run) and my car sustained a considerable amount of damage. My 2002 Ford Foucs is worth about $3900 according to my appraiser because the mileage is low ( about 106k) and it was in very good condition. The cost of repairs was set to be about $3100 and some change. I kept pushing my insurance to just total out my car, but they won't because the body shop says it can be repaired. Am I in the wrong here? Maybe I'm not understanding, but in what universe does it make sense to pay $3100 worth of repairs for a $3900 car? Not only that, but my car has frame damage so now even if they fix it I won't be able to trade it in because no respectable dealer will take it. What should I do?

How good is the new Pennzoil Ultra Platinum motor oil?

I will need an oil change in a few months or so. I understand how to do it and the tools required, but after being a loyal Mobil 1 user for 5 years, I was wondering how well the new Pennzoil Ultra Platinum stands up to the competition in full synthetics (especially being made from natural gas). Mobil 1 has been doing a superb job in keeping my car's engine running like a champ, but how does it compare to the Pennzoil in this application. I understand that Ultra Platinum has only been around since the beginning of this year, so experience may be limited with it. But for those of you who have had at least some experience with the Ultra Platinum - how would you rate it in terms of lubrication, protection, performance, and overall quality? Any differences in RPM's, driving quality, gas mileage, and the like? Does it really live up to its claims or is it all just their marketing and hype that make it 'look' good? Thanks in advance!

P.S. The car I may be testing this new motor oil on would be a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor P71. And Please don't be biased or turn this into an Amsoil topic. My only concern is Mobil 1 vs. Ultra Platinum.

Is all Tundra 4x4's a Ford?

And are the all Toyota's. I know this seem odd but I need to know? I'm thinking about a Tundra and I'm doing a little research, that's all.

How much would it be for a cv joint replacement for a 97 ford contour and for a wheel bearing. If you're from jersey, it would help if it was nj prices. Central jersey.
