Ok so i own a 1966 Ford Falcon and finance is no problem right now. And i have been given a choice from my uncle to swap the engine (currently 285 V8) with either a 496 Stroker or a big step with a 686 Stroker. Yes this cars intent is to be a Racer. And Sunday Rumbler (And school Auto Mechanics class homework) down to the Details:
What engine?
Reason?
Advantages/Disadvantages?
Yes our school has student race days. Its the greatest day of school ever! We have the oldest car and the second oldest is an 86 Chevy.
I have a 2004 ford Freestar that has been very good until lately. The windows don't work (most of the time). Radio/clock doesn't shut off when open door and drains battery. Power mirrors do not work. Wipers do not work. Interior lights work fine. I opened rear door and it turned on my radio! Is my car possessed or is there some type of electrical issue. Hoping it's an easy fix. Novice writing here!
1978 Datsun 280z, LS2/T56 swap from an '05 Pontiac GTO, stroked to 427 ci, forged bottom end, heads/cam/intake, approx. 550rwhp, Ford 9" rear end, 4.10 gears, 10 inch width wheels running 275mm tires, 8 point roll cage. Looking to be able to launch a decent wheelie on drag slicks and not twist the rust free frame.
I'm planing buy new transit full-size cargo van, ford offer 3 engines: 3.7L TI-VCT V6, 3.5L ecoboost V6 and 3.2L I5 diesel which one would you recommend and why?
Just wanted to know what the fuel consumption is of the Ford Cortina 1600 GL (1976-1980), or any similar model with similar specs.
Also, are there any common problems that a possible buyer should be aware of?
Any other interesting/relevant info regarding the car would be great too.
Cost for 2008 ford crown vic cruise control install?
Added (1). I can't do it myself. I'm stupid. How much would it cost to get it done by reliable professionals? Is it insulting to call random car shops around town and ask them if they can do the job and inquire about how much it would cost?
My Grandpa has been trying to find out for a while now.
My dad told me my car breaks weren't working right so i had a mechanic look at It he said it was the roder I was just wondering how much that would cost, just a ballpark. It's a 2003 Chevy trailblazer
I have a 1966 ford f100 with a 390. After taking off the carb to clean it, I noticed a rough idle and fuel leaking from between the carburetor and intake manifold. So I replaced the gasket with a gasket specifically for Holley carburetors, but that didn't stop the leak. Any ideas? Would there be any reason the manifold or bottom of the carb would need to be resurfaced? Is sealant ever used?
