Why does my truck overheat when I turn the heater on?

I own a 1989 ford f150 standard cab 2wd 4.9L 5-spd manual. When ever I turn my heater on (winter) and it starts blowing hot air, my temperature gauge starts moving towards hot. I find this very strange because I'm pretty sure it's supposed to take heat away from the engine.

Florida car seat law for a truck?

I'm 13 weeks pregnant and my boyfriend drives an 07 Ford F150. What are the car seat regulations for a truck? He needs this truck for work so he can't trade it in and we don't have enough funds to buy another car. The truck is all we have but I don't think it's safe for a baby… Is it even legal to have a car seat in the front seat of a truck? It doesn't have a backseat either.

Front Passanger side tire ceased won't move f150 4x4. Reasons?

1994 Ford F-150, Straight 6, 5 speed, 4x4 front passenger tire ceased up. Will not spin in 4x4 or 2wd. No play in the tire, tire was making popping noises when turning and scraping, high pitched squeaking noises when driving earlier. Any reasons, or explanations?

Lifting truck and getting new tires?

I have a 2003 ford 150 lariat 5.4 triton 4x4 extended cab and this is my first full size pickup that i've owned. I'm looking to lift my truck (in order to place larger diameter tires) and wider tires on my vehicle. However I'm a fulltime college student and my funds are limited. The most money that I'm willing to spend on lifting my truck(maybe 2 inches, 3 inches at the most) is around 600$, however the cheaper the better. I want a safe vehicle however so I want the most cost effective method. As I stated previously I just want a small lift, nothing fancy just one big enough to place bigger tires. My question is what method is the best for raising my truck, some say leveling kit, others say just a body lift with gap guards. I'm just curious and need opinions and advice. Also, i'm looking for the estimated cost not only for the lift, but the labor and the tires.Im looking to place tires anywhere from 31inches to 34 inches. Maybe 35s. And i'm looking to go a few inches wider. Any advice inputs or opinions are appreciated, thanks.

Why is my Truck Shaking when I accelerate?

Truck model and make
2006 Ford F150 XLT super crew cab

So I've had this truck since august and I have only drove 200 miles on it, yesterday I was out doing errands in it and the engine light popped on and the whole truck started shaking (on highway going 50 MPH) I slowed down pulled off the road and it stopped shaking (about 25mph) then I pulled into a parking spot and it started shaking while idle.

There was an auto zone not to far away so I drove it there and I noticed whenever I accelerated above 45 mph it would shake and when I was at idle it would shake but it wouldn't shake anywhere in between, I got to auto zone and they ran their diagnosis and said It was a misfire in cylinder 3 and that I need to replace the sparkplug and or ignition coil? I just bought 1400$ tires for the damn thing so I don't have money to waste on fixing pointless things I need the actual PROBLEM fixed

Has anyone else had this problem I really need help
