How much does it cost to make a long bed 1996 Ford F-150 into a short bed and is it worth it? - 1
Says it still runs strong. How can it only be 850. What should I look for before buying?
I have a 1988 Ford F150 XLT Lariat. The engine was replaced with a 1995 351 Windsor and it has shorty headers off of a Mustang. I'm pretty sure the emissions light is on becasue it doesn't have O2 sensors. Anyway, because it's an '88 here where I live it's exempt from emissions testing so I'm not running cats or 02 sensors. The headers that are on it are from a late 60's early 70's Mustang so they don't even have O2 sensor ports. Is there any way to disable this light for inspection purposes? They just do a safety check but if they see a light on the dash they'll fail it. Is there a fuse or something I can take out? Any help would be great thanks!
I have a f 150 ford that has coolant leaking into the engine. Would could cause that? - 1
Like when a pickup truck passes by he would tell me, look mom it's a Ford F150. And he does this everytime we go out…
Planning on buying a used truck soon. I have narrowed it down to a ram or a F150. I like them both after driving them the f150 seems like a little bit smoother ride. Either way going for the crew cab 4x4 V8. So i was just wondering what anyones thoughts were as far as picking between the two. Also if anyone had any views on the 5.7 HEMI vs the ford v8's. Not going to be used for towing or anything just my daily driver around town and on the freeway.Seems like the Rams are a little better priced not sure if there's a reason for that or just happens to be the ones i have been looking at.
I have a 1999 Ford F-150 that has a hard restart problem. When the truck is cold, it starts up no problem. When the truck is warmed up and I attempt to start it, it cranks about 15 times before it starts. I have already checked the fuel pump (running @ 34 psi) and the fuel injectors as I thought this was more likely a fuel related issue, but now I don't think it is because they are all working within spec. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be?
I haven't had any problems at all with it starting until today, weather was fine, i drove my son to daycare in it shut it off went back out and it will not start, its was like the battery was completely dead! I tryed jumping it nothing! So i went and bought a brand new battery nope didn't do it, so started tapping the starter with a hammer and trying to start nothing, so i went and bought a new selinoid put that on and still nothing. Any idea? Like i said iv had vehicals before that if it was the starter it would gradually go. Any ideas? What this could be and how to fix?
My 98 ford f150 has started doing something weird. If it was rained or just moist outside my brakes grab. I press the pedal and the grab real hard and makes a metal on metal noise. The pads are fine. If i power brake it for a minute it stops. It only does this like i said when it's moist out. To be clear its not from running through water. I'll go out start my truck and it does this only when i first get in or when it has sat for a couple of hours. Doesn't do it if i'm driving and they get wet. Like i said it's weird. Any Ideas?
