Front Passanger side tire ceased won't move f150 4x4. Reasons?

1994 Ford F-150, Straight 6, 5 speed, 4x4 front passenger tire ceased up. Will not spin in 4x4 or 2wd. No play in the tire, tire was making popping noises when turning and scraping, high pitched squeaking noises when driving earlier. Any reasons, or explanations?

A 4x4 PU has two axels in front with two universal joints at each wheel inside the front differential housing. Could be one that has lost all the needle bearings and has too much play and is locking the wheel. Look on the inside of the wheel behind the backing plate you should be able to see the u-joint to see if it is wore out. Also remove the wheel and look at your brake calliper it will be tight to turn but use a big screw driver and stick it between the pad and the rotor and pry apart. Then spin the rotor. It also could be a bad wheel bearing that just went out and got too hot locked the rotor and the wheel will not turn. This are the only reasons the wheel will not spin or turn unless you have a rock stuck between the wheel and the brake caliper.

The first thing to check is the brake caliper. If it is frozen, the brake is applied and will keep the wheel from turning.

You could also have a collapsed brake line that is keeping the caliper from releasing

Bearing seized? That's my place o start.

And you kept driving?
