07 Ford Explorer overheating problems?

07 Ford Explorer is overheating. Check engine light said replace coolant temperature sensor. Did that but it still overheats. The coolant reservoir is full but when I take the radiator cap off there's nothing in there. Can I put coolant in there? How come coolant from the reservoir isn't going to the radiator. Nothing is leaking could there possibly be a clog or something in between? Or is it the water pump not pushing the coolant to the radiator? Also after the car overheated I opened the from and the radiator cap wasn't hot at all does that mean anything?

I think someone tried to steal my car?

So I'm 18, I do have my license and a job and yes I do earn my own money. So I went to the mall to do some Christmas shopping. I was there about 4 hours from around 9:30 am to almost 1pm. When I went to my car, I noticed that the back window of the trunk was unlocked an opened. I know for a fact I didn't accidentally leave it open because if it was opened it would have shown on my dashboard. It's a Ford Explorer. Then I saw a card on my windshield that said Killer Christmas so I took a closer look and realized it was movie ad. So I went home. Most malls have security cameras in the parking lot right? Is there a way that I can let the mall know? Should I go back? Who would I tell? Should I call the police?

2005 Jeep Cherokee OR 2010 Ford Explorer to tow boat cross country?

I need help choosing my next vehicle. I will be moving from VA to CO in a month, which means that I will be towing my 18ft Bowrider that whole way. Currently I'm looking at a 2005 Jeep Cherokee Laredo with 116,000 miles priced at 8500, and also a 2010 Ford Explorer with 113,000 miles for 7500. Which would be the wiser more reliable choice? Any other vehicles I should be considering in that price range?
