READ the owner's manual that came with the car. It will tell you all about the 4x4 controls and how to use them.
Shift on the fly since 1995. Press button every time sir. See your other Q for source info.
- If you have enough money, can you have a new classic car built? Like can I pay to have ford build me a 1970 Mustang? Lets say I don't want to buy an old car and restore it, I want a 1970 but straight off the factory line. Can you have a car built with the old style frame, engine, trans, etc?

- 2003 Ford Explorer 4x4 4.6L V8 oil change? I have a 2003 Ford Explorer 4x4 with the 4.6L V8 with about 137000 miles and it's due for an oil change and its the first since I have owned it but I do not know what the previous owner used. The manual tells me to use 5w20 but I have been told its probably better to use 10w40 because of the mileage but I don't know if this is true. Also full synthetic vs synthetic blend? Best brand? TIA for responses!
- Can I successfully program a Ford 4 button key fob on a vehicle that uses a 5 button? My 2005 Navigator uses a 5 button fob; lock, unlock, lift glass, power lift gate, and panic. A replacement 5 button fob costs a lot and I have a brand new 4 button fob. Does anyone know if it will successfully program to the vehicle? I'm really only worried about the lock/unlock feature working, not so much the lift gate
