AC recharge on 2013 Ford Escape and 2012 Ford Focus?

I tried to use my recharge hose with a can of 134A to recharge the low side of the AC in my 2013 Ford Escape and 2012 Ford Focus. I could NOT get the hose to sit on the low side of the AC inside the engine compartment no matter what. I even pulled up on the little thing on the hose, pushed on the connector, then let go of the thing around the end of the hose… All it did was leak out and get on my hand… Same thing on both cars… Is there something special about the connectors on these cars?

What's the best SUVs to buy?

I'm getting my first car and I'm looking to buy an older SUV. People are telling me ford and jeeps are no go's. I'm not looking for anything newer because I only have a budget of $5,000 (I don't like newer version SUVs anyway) But I'm just looking for something that can take a lot of miles and has good or decent fuel economy between the years of 2000-2010

Added (1). I was thinking about an Isuzu Rodeo or a Ford Escape (but everyone keeps telling me ford escapes are bad)

How to get Bluetooth in a Ford Escape (XLT) 2012?

I have a burring question that I'm dying to find out and can't seem to find any answers via Goggle or any other search site. I recently bought a used car a Ford Escape XLT 2012. Its a great car and was advertised as having Bluetooth (as the car had a front dash that contained a Phone Icon and a Text Icon). It was also one of the main selling points to me. So I get in the car and I'm fiddling with the controls and attempting to use my phone with the Bluetooth. I tried to get it to sync with the car using the phone button I tried several other means. I realized along with the sales man who attempted to help me in the process that it didn't have the SYNC component. Begrudgingly I took the car any ways, he mentioned that I could purchase bluetooth and have it installed, but none of the shops in my area seem to know how to do this or at least don't advertise it. So I'm turning to you internet please help me out here.
