1964 Ford F-250 chokes only in 4th gear?

I recently got my great grandpa's 1964 Ford F-250 running. A few months of driving I was on the highway when it choked and sputtered like a clogged fuel filter. I pulled it home and after a few hours was able to drive it again. This happened again later and it only happens in 4th gear. If I stay in 1 2 or 3rd gear I can drive forever but as soon as I shift it starts to cough and sputter out. Any ideas?

What is the better truck, a Dodge 3500 or a Ford f350?

My husband is looking to buy a truck for his landscaping business and we're looking for opinions on which brand is better. I know that vehicle brand can be more of a personal preference but I would really like to get opinions from others out there who drive these trucks, or work in the landscaping industry.

Need some Ford truck guys opinions?

I'm looking into getting a different truck soon but can't decide what type of Ford F-250 or F-350 I want. I thought about a 7.3 because they are more reliable but they don't sound as good as a 6.0 does and then again I hear 6.0s are not very reliable. What about a 6.7 or 6.3? I also plan on beefing it up some by doing a bunch of deletes bigger rims and tires and lift and all the other s***
